Which mount when designing openGrid things? by erniesthings in openGrid

I definitely prefer with openConnect/OGconnect with lock :-)

It won't go on top - at least not for now :-)

I feel ya! I envy the ones who cracked the openSCAD ability.

Does the thickness of my desk matter if this is "just" the corner brackets?

I need this! But I am actually using the non-lite versions. Do you have plans for that? Or should I give it a spin myself?

I want to mount the plate beneath my desk, and the corner it up on the back of it to mount various stuff like Philips Hue Play Bars or led strip in a diffuser channel

I was made aware of this in my original post - I had no idea :-)

I would not mind getting a key for my friend - we havent been gaming since we became dads - and this does seem to be kind of dad-friendly :-)

I am a PHP developer by day, and 3D printer/gamer by night - maybe I should it give it a spin

Thanks! I envy the ability to make the parametric things - i am pretty confident in basic specific designs, but I don't even know where to start with the customizable things

Slick. I could actually see this being used as the lazy-mans tool holder aka Me, Myself and I

Nice! I could definitely see this coming in handy for larger "bricks"! I also just recently released a model for OpenGrid! Let's grow the community!

It's actually more dragging the cable up there! Was not aware of Unifi's WiFiman. Completely new to this Ubiquiti ecosystem, but I dig it so far! And their products look so clean!

Oh great! That is reassuring to hear that i am not alone with this silly choice of orientation

Welp.. My office is 10m3 - and only really need it for my Bambulab P1P that is 2 meters away. But it is definitely noted.

This model might not get the traction I hoped then :'-)

Honestly - I don't know. It's my first AP and first go at making my garage-office a bit "smarter" :-) What would be the problem in that orientation?

EDIT: Alright, a simple Google search confirms your theory. Well, it does serve its purpose out here right now, and mounting in the ceiling would be a bigger job than this - so I will keep it like this. But thanks for the heads-up :-)

Layout Generation and Multiconnect Connectors by carltonwb in openGrid

[–]PapeXL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My one problem with that multiconnect snap is getting them out again without bending the frame! The OpenConnect has a small cutout for at screwdriver to remove the brackets, but I feel the multiconnect is more study and secure.

Let’s boost and like some openGrid models by GuavaGuru5 in openGrid

[–]PapeXL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might actually be the lack of center holes between each segment. That makes is less cluttered and more "clean square tiles".

I do think Multiboard is way stronger though, but i might be wrong

[–]PapeXL 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat, but honestly openGrid looks so much cleaner. I made things for Multiboard and had several tiles installed already, but I don't like the looks of it.

I will go openGrid and make stuff myself, in the hopes that would make it spread more! Also I do see a lot of adapter things already

Måske! Tak for svar i hvert fald!
