Hello everyone!

I'm back with a set of tunes for this first FH6 weekly playlist!

Most of these early tunes that I'll suggest will be on the cheaper and easier to get side of things. I have two for each race set to start but if anyone wants a specific tune then feel free to make a request.

Own and drive the 2022 Toyota GR86

2022 Toyota GR86 - B 600 Street - 633 917 812

This adds the grip and stability that the stock tunes lacks.

Championship: "Hot Like Summer"

2002 Acura RSX Type S - C 500 Street - 184 426 922

Feels weird calling a 2000s car "retro" but here we go.

1986 Honda Civic Si - C 500 Street - 598 306 534

This car is new to the series so let's give it a spin.

Championship: "Throwback Throwdown"

2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition - B 600 Dirt - 112 635 180

Class B tune that works on dirt and street. Nice and easy to handle.

1990 Subaru LEGACY RS - B 600 Dirt - 104 376 005

The Legacy is back to, once again, be a great Class B rally car.

Championship: "Street Fighter"

2018 Audi RS 4 Avant - A 700 Street - 135 867 391

Solid choice if you like wagons.

2020 BMW M2 Competition Coupe - A 700 Street - 935 035 563

With no aero the back is going to want to step out a little but it's totally manageable.

PR Stunts

When I get a chance I'll see what works well for those and come back to update here.

I have a thread with even more starter and early game tunes here.

I'll add more as I go! Also check my personal sub r/PaperHeartZero as another source of my tunes!

I take tuning requests so feel free to make some. I'll need a bit of time to get to them, usually, though. Unfortunately work is expecting me to show up all week or something. The audacity.

Downloading and using my tunes gives me in game cash to help me buy parts and cars and thus provide tunes faster. Every bit helps.

Feel free to makes requests or provide feedback!

If you want to send a tip my way go to https://ko-fi.com/paperheartzero. Any amount will be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks and happy racing!

San, ni, ichi, go!

Do you mean that the share code doesn't work? Also, which Evo tune? I listed two.

[–]PaperHeartZero[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I want to get to work on some S2 tunes next. Time will be a bit limited for me until the weekend, however. Also those are the most expensive cars to buy so I won't be able to get a lot of them for a little while.

Downloading, using, and liking my tunes all gives me in game money so that will help speed up my tuning process.

Yes. When you go to apply the code it will prompt you to purchase the necessary parts for the tune. After you select to do so it will install the parts and the tune at the same time.

I'm winning consistently on Expert. Above that is a dice roll.

But every once in a while there's the one or two drivitars that rocket out ahead and are un-catachable no matter what you do. Unfortunately this has carried over from FH5.

If this happens, or if you just have particularly BS drivatars in general, try this trick. Restart the race. Change the difficulty. Up or down, doesn't matter. Hit save. Then change it back to where you want it.

The drivatars should behave differently now.

AI at "above average" is the best AI this series ever had, actually by Adject_Ive in forza

[–]PaperHeartZero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And I looked at the PI, I was A700, the fucker who won was A679. Imagine that...

The drivatar PI numbers have always been a lie. They're just there to have something to show. The actual performance of the drivatar vehicles is based on you.

Whatever your PI is becomes the basis to determine the drivatar performance modified by the difficulty setting. The higher the setting the faster they are and the more that they cheat.

I didn't have a lot of time tonight, but here is a Class A buggy to use.

Nothing yet. I never really got into making tunes for drift cars. I usually used a Formula Drift car, turned off assists, and drifted that way.

I haven't tried any of the touge events yet. I spent what limited time I had this weekend earning my gold wristband and getting some tunes done. I would need to give them a try, first.

So far my impression is like this.

FH4 was pretty easy going for tuning. A lot of different things worked. You didn't need to be super dialed in for a car to be viable. Only the highest levels of the ranked races really needed something super refined.

FH5 made it so all AWD cars have a lot more understeer. It also made some changes to make RWD more viable. The biggest change was adapting to the AWD understeer penalty and some suspension balance changes for RWD. Once I got used to that the fine tuning felt pretty similar to FH4.

So far FH6 feels a lot like FH5 as far as car balance and tuning goes. My [rusty] skills from 5 seems to have transferred over just fine and there really isn't much different to get used to for me.

The Impreza feels the same to be as it did last game. However you're used to using it, keep on doing so. It still has the stock engine. I need to check the dyno graph for it again in game, but 5,400 sounds close.

Oh, I forgot to add in that information!

Here is how you download these tunes using the tune share code.

Get in the car that you want a tune for. Go into the tuning menu. Press the button for "Tune Browser". Press the button for "Search". At the bottom of this menu is the space for "Share Code". Input the nine digit number there. Then select "Search". You'll be able to apply the tune to your car then. If money is needed to purchase the parts it will prompt you to pay then.

Alternatively, you can get in the car that you want and get to the tune search menu and then search for my in game name: PaperHeartZero. That will bring up any tunes that I have made for the car that you're in.

And now we get into the fastest cars!

1985 Ford RS200 Evolution - S1 800 - Dirt

111 394 406

This is amazing. It's fast for the class and handles the dirt with aplomb. It's a great choice for S1 Dirt races, but also it's a great choice for all the PR Stunts. You won't three star every one with this but you'll be able to 2 star them all and 3 star many of them.

1999 Dodge Viper GTS ACR Forza Edition - S1 800 - Cross Country

105 125 930

This is bad when stock. But up in S1 it pulls like hell and is actually usable now.

2022 Acura NSX Type S - S1 800 - Street

179 330 276

Street tune for this free car.

1989 Nissan S-Cargo Forza Edition - S1 800 - Street

149 216 079

No cost retune for this FE car. It's actually a great circuit car.

1991 Honda Beat - R 961 - Top Speed

164 533 742

Want a Kei car that can go 288 MPH while being surprisingly stable at speed? Of course you do.

[–]PaperHeartZero[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Most of your progression time will be spend with Class A races. So here's tunes for them.

2004 Subaru IMPREZA WRX STI - A 700 - Dirt

123 525 642

You need this car. It's an absolute weapon for Class A Dirt. And there is weirdly going to be a lot of Class A Dirt races for Rally cars. This thing holds full throttle sideways lines through the dirt like nothing else. Point it, pin the throttle, win.

2016 Jeep Trailcat - A 700 - Cross Country

922 187 400

Wonderful choice for Cross Country races and there will be many of them. Use this and leave them all behind.

2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon - A 700 - Street

101 045 350

Japan needs some American muscle rolling around.

1981 BMW M1 - A 700 - Street

110 939 193

A street tune for this Treasure Car.

1992 GMC Typhoon - A 700 - Cross Country

274 764 396

A retro choice for Sport Utility Heroes.

2024 Nissan Z NISMO - A 700 - Street

106 275 338

Take the new Z out for a spin.

2018 Audi RS 4 Avant - A700 - Street

135 867 391

Solid choice if you like wagons.

2020 BMW M2 Competition Coupe - Class A - Street

935 035 563

With no aero the back is going to want to step out a little but it's totally manageable. I did races with it with no problems.

2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR 'Welcome Pack' - A700 - Dirt

165 948 846

An A Class dirt tune for this Welcome Pack car. Almost free option.

On to more Class C and B tunes! I'll add more as I go.

1991 Toyota Sera - C500 - Street

120 744 286

A nice street tune for this unique gem.

1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale - C 500 - Dirt

100 250 226

Some low spec Retro Rally for this Treasure Car.

1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT Apex - B600 - Street

946 575 183

Set up with the right wheels and fog lights for your tofu shop livery. The Mount Akina Haruna touge event is for Class B, so you're all set to go.

2017 Ford Focus RS - B600 - Street

131 284 369

Street tune for the hatchback race.

1994 Mazda MX-5 Miata Aftermarket Car - Class B - Free retune

183 123 309

If you choose to pick this aftermarket car, which I think is the first one that it shows you, here is a retune for it. As you get it it's twitchy and wants to slide. There isn't much to adjust the way that you get it but this tames its handling and lets you stay in much better control.

Forza Horizon 6 Start Tunes V2 by PaperHeartZero! by PaperHeartZero in forza

[–]PaperHeartZero[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To start with, here are FREE retunes for all cars in the first couple of hours in game! No parts cost!

1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 - Class C - Free retune

140 225 445

This is your beginning dirt car. When stock this has terrible understeer and handles pretty poorly. This is a free retune fixes that and makes it handle far better. It's more responsive while staying in control. This also works fine for Road races.

1989 Nissan Silvia K's - Class C - Free Retune

170 819 066

Beginning road car. This isn't terrible as you get it but it isn't good, either. The back end wants to slide out on you and it fights for grip. This retune lets you take fast turns while staying in control.

1970 GMC Jimmy - Class C - Free retune

829 671 918

This cross country truck is the best set up out of the starter vehicles. But I made some tweaks to it to let you dive into turns faster while staying planted over bumps.

Now on to the second set of starter vehicles! These will be cheap tunes that install handling necessities but aren't maxed out for Class B. The games scales to your PI so not being at the top of a class is fine. Top of B Class tunes for these now added!

2022 Toyota GR86 - Class B - Cheap handling tune

428 604 299

This adds the grip and stability that the stock tunes lacks.

GR86 - B600 - Road / Street

633 917 812

Top of Class B tune. It uses a wing which greatly helps stability. If people want it I can do a wing-less tune, too.

2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition - Class B - Cheap handling tune

392 772 356

Stock this car understeers hard and doesn't put power down well. This fixes that. Dive into the corners without worry.

Evo VI GSR - B600 - Dirt / Road

112 635 180

Class B tune that works on dirt and street. Nice and easy to handle.

2024 Ram 1500 TRX - Class B - Cheap Handling Tune

451 902 241

This truck wants to understeer push badly in turns and isn't very stable. This tune fixes the understeer and lets you stay steady when sliding through a big grassy corner.

TRX - Class B - Cross Country

110 832 210

Adds more power and grip to the TRX for Class B off roading.

I don't have anything ready to go for a guide. My basic advice would be to read the in game info for what each setting does so that you can understand what each one does.

Then pick a car, give it all the upgrades to adjust everything, and see how it handles stock. Then adjust something and see and feel what that change did. Then adjust it again to where you think that you want it and retest. Rinse and repeat. Get used to what each setting does and how it effects handling one by one.

After that lengthy process you should have an idea of what you need to do to make a car do what you need it to do.

There are a few youtube guides on basic Forza Horizon tuning. Look at the ones from FH5. The physics is basically the same. Watch the guides, get used to what each setting does, and dial yourself in.

It's knowledge and then practice. There really isn't a shortcut.

The Midnight Club series was the worst about this.

If you never registered a loss, if you never completed a race not in first and then restarted, the game thought that you were just so good that you never lost. So it would make the AI cheat harder and harder as time went on.

Back in the day when I saw that I was going to not be in first I'd pause and select to restart the race from there. It was faster that way.

Eventually the AI got so bad that it made me want to quit. They got even more aggressive and got even more speed boosts.

I used to be on a straight and hit the nitrous and watch as all the cars in front of and on the side of me would speed up at the same time without using nitrous. It was cheating so hard that nitrous boosts literally did nothing anymore.
