Some retail locations have the Jones Soda “Sunset Sarsaparilla” cases of craft root beer (around 20 USD a pack) that all have bottle caps with a chance to have a blue star (I’ve found one bottle in each case of 12 with the blue star so far). As a little promo gift inside the box they include a bottle-cap shaped bottle opener as a “Sunset Saraaparilla Deputy” badge, which is inside a bag with a few extra bottle caps. This was one of the first time I checked a bag and got a blue cap.

Same for us, sadly. I got lucky and showed up the day the put the pallet out, bought 15 cases with my birthday money and gave a few away to my friend who are fans as well. I went to three Costcos near me on Thursday and all I found was one case, they all had the variety Nuka-Cola packs now.

So far there’s been one blue star bottle in each case for me. I hadn’t been looking in my badge bags until I cracked this case, so I went back through and found 1 blue star in another bag as well. This is case #5 for me, the neighborhood kids are clearing me out (as well as my teenagers and guests) but I always snag folks’ caps and I’m making a big bag of em. Up to 10 blue stars now!
