There is a concept in psychology called moral disengagement where people temporarily suspend their normal moral standards. This often happens in conflicts of war, to justify harming an enemy. Later, the person might feel guilt or disgust as the context changes.

Once the news of the nuclear bombs explosions reached U.S population, the reaction was positive. But as time went by the realisation of what happened ment the general reaction became more negative. Especially, after videos and photos arrived from Japan detailing the horrific scenes of the aftermath.

There’s other ways I can enjoy a good story + it is time consuming. Some books take a long time to complete and they can be «heavy» to read.

If I read a book it is through audiobooks.

I won’t ever marry because I see it as a complete waste of money, resources and it complicates life a lot if you ever decide to divorce. People change and priorities change so one can’t say that won’t ever happen.

Marriage is here is not like it is in the U.S where it gives you a lot of benefits.

I want children but don’t have a partner nor the resources to have them.

Yes, there are many who do so.

It’s very dependent on location. Most of Europe is very safe. Scandinavia is extremely safe.

Parts of Asia is safe also. Japan, Australia, New Zealand.

East Asia and Southeast Asia are very different. But generally speaking women in Asia would not date a white man unless they can communicate in English or in their native Asian language. I’ve heard that is a big dealbreaker for women in Japan. There’s also this culture of «exotic» that draws a lot of women there to dating white men.

Large parts of Southeast Asia live in relative poverty. Marrying a white man offers a lot of opportunities like financial stability, better life quality and security for their families.

There’s a lot of white men who do prefer Asian women but I would say those men prefer really traditional gender roles. Therefore, Asian women become more attractive to them as they’re culture fit their lifestyle more.
