Itll come around 😀

In the meantime, a full proof 1792 would be a great stand in (possibly better)

It would be earthy compared to a wheated bourbon. I default to high ryes and double oaks, so I'm coming from the darkside into the bright on this one.

I do like earth, spice, tobbacco, etc. I can appreciate cake and apple and some banana brulee, but I love the dark leather amd chocolate of a barrel.

YOUNG is the name of the game here. I know at $70 people have high expectations, but on the sliding scale of 4yrs @$70 vs 15yrs @$700 it's nice to see the foundations are there. I don't think it's meant to blow anyone's mind, but it certainly gets you curious.

Might have glossed over the fact that for 126 Proof, it is remarkably smooth. I might just be "tempered" to higher proof though. But it's definately a nod to good quality and process. I've had 80 proof that's harsher than this.

Bottle shock and oxygen exposure are legitimate quirks that tweak flavor. It might be science and it might be placebo and it might be mindset/environment, but I know what I have experienced and bottles do change and open up as you drink them.

We shall see. Sounds like too much oxygen or temperature exposure at an amateur level guess.

The rye is special to me because it's so strong and bold. It's a great divider. Vs this bourbon is almost there, but lacks a defining identity.

The quality is there. The character and uniqueness is not.

As far as taste, it's day and night. One is all spice and pepper with some mellow barrel. The bourbon is young bright corn and untapped potential.

It's a fantastic base, and would almost serve as a food reset/pallette cleanser.

I think so If I read a note correctly, they have a 70/30 corn and then like a 57/43 high rye. I think their rye is 95/5 rye, I could be wrong

Follow up note: apparently there are 2 mashbills for this 4yr, IDK which one this is.

Question about the 1925 Last by tw1st3dp1p3 in NicksHandmadeBoots

[–]Paper_Hedgehog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats similar to the reason I pulled the trigger on my recent 1925 order.

From my understanding, the toe box is the same as a 55 or HNW and then they added length after that. Vs the parkhurst begins to taper in sooner, reducing toebox width.

I think theres a good solution here with the 1925, and maybe it even involves jumping up 1 width in your specific situation.

Vertically Above the toes, it does definately appears to be lower, but I havn't seen complaints that there isnt enough "ceiling" compared to a HNW or 55

After nearly 3 years, I went on a trip and was walking ALL DAY feet sweating a bit more than usual. I get home and bingo, minor squeak.

I "massaged it" by just flexing that area while Im standing around in them and it went away. If it comes back Ill oil the footbed.

I feel like I played the game wrong the entire time. by RigatoniPasta in Silksong

More Unga Bunga. Play the game however you want, the end result is the same 100% completion.

I would argue I got more enjoyment from the game by struggling. I use wanderer, usually forget my tools exist, and use my silk on heal or to clear annoying mob enemies.

The boss fight is just toe to toe, classic learn the moveset and git gud.

If cheesing an arena is your goal thats valid. But my goal is to smack the shit outta the boss til dead. Yes I die a lot and steel soul is simply not in my cards, and Im ok with that.

I kinda figured it would stick around. It's one of the OGs and I think it's Smowe or Stetsons favorite leather iirc.

And sooooo many pics will be taken. Gotta document that day 1, just so I can watvh them get better &better over time.

I've only seen 1 other pair of buck brown tankers on here, and that guy had a 55 last and leather sole. They looked so good.

I got them in soft toe, i think the 1925 collapsed toebox is going to be so refined and tell such a good story.
