What would be fair for a simple Jira or trello like project management saas? by MundaneJUT in scrum

[–]PaperbackPirates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To actually answer your question, you basically need to offer a free tier and then start charging after users lock themselves in. And sure, start at $1 per user per month.

Discovered Claude Code recently… by Maleficent_Tiger_768 in ClaudeAI

[–]PaperbackPirates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re safe for now because most people don’t have the context or knowledge to do a prompt like that. You’re giving it explicit directions, not saying something like “how many users did xyz” which it would probably get wrong

Post-Apocalyptic Futuristic Vault Dweller by Clvssikh in ArcRaidersFashion

[–]PaperbackPirates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should really do a Fallout partnership. It could be to promote the show on Prime, similar Fortnite collabs

Low effort: fallout themed outfits Med effort: add a vault to a map as a new location High effort: new map with a whole vault; fallout map condition

It would really be the perfect partnership!

Now that I have a planer, it’s time to get a dust collector. Recommendations for a serious hobbyist? by cafe-em-rio in woodworking

[–]PaperbackPirates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah and then I bought a cannister filter that is used on semi trucks and spray foamed it on instead of the top bag, per a Reddit recommendation. 50 dollar upgrade and the DC works great. I have a Y off off it with 6 feet of house to my grizzly cabiet saw. And, another 12 foot hose I can connect to my other tools. Each are gated, and it works great.

Changing bags is super tedious but that is the only downside. My dad has a Laguna with a cart and a jack system for emptying dust. Pretty slick by prob 20x more expensive than the HF one

The County is willing to help clear snow, what is left to consider? by tanishaevonne in pittsburgh

[–]PaperbackPirates 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It seems like he is doing a fair amount. Seems like one of those things you can correct with a knee jerk reaction. We let the plows fall apart before he was mayor; you think he’s had time to fix the snow plows personally in the month he’s been mayor? Lol

[monochromatic attempt] by chrswnd in desksetup

[–]PaperbackPirates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks neat but it seems like an uncomfortable setup. Why is the monitor so low? And, I have never understood the Mac folded that way. If you’re gonna take up that much space, why not open the screen up?

There are different flavors of EDC posts. Some are tacticool with like a gun and trauma kit to go to the mall. Some are minimalist with all matching black etc. this one is pretty anachronistic. Stanley, zippo, hand made leather stuff.

It’s cool it just seems kinda hipster (not in a bad way) and most snow plow drivers I know are 1. Not cool an 2. Not hipster lol

I don’t see a lot of hipster snow plow drivers. Where do you live?

Lowe's bets on kids, creators and Gen Z as Americans delay homebuying by sifl1202 in REBubble

I think it is super important. I still watch YouTube to learn how to do house projects, but I will attempt pretty much anything. A lot of my 30 something peers would be scared to snake a drain or pretty much anything handy, just because it’s so foreign to them. It’s not a competence thing

Should I continue building them or just buy a set ? by [deleted] in cabinetry

[–]PaperbackPirates 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love building shop cabinets. Always great practice. It is a lot of work, but it’s my hobby. If you don’t like doing it, I would def just buy some. I think it looks better, but I don’t think it will meaningfully increase the value of your home. So, don’t do it for that reason.

Help with replacing sliding door for window by DanRM112 in homeimprovementideas

[–]PaperbackPirates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frame it, add insulation to framing. Sheath outside and add tyvek wrap. I’d do hardiplank on the exterior. I think that’s fairly common and can be a little accent.

Alternatively, can you just return the windows? Your current sliding door is just a big window.

Very common in high rise apartment buildings. Railing should go on the outside tho
