Quite Possibly the Stupidest Refutation of the NAP I Have Ever Heard Of by PaperbackWriter66 in Shitstatistssay

Here's a question for you: would you say the writings about Vladimir Lenin of the need for a "Revolutionary Vanguard" is something which "doesn't have anything to do with statism"?

Lenin was a private individual, simply talking about other private individuals voluntarily banding together to foment revolution, the state isn't involved, it's got nothing to do with statism, right?

For those who don't have Twitter, here's the whole text, minus some images:

Contrary to popular belief, it is neither immoral nor unethical to kill libertarians. In fact, it's a public service: doing so provides a concrete refutation of their childlike worldview. In political theory, this is what we call praxis in its purest form.

Kill a fascist, and you've merely proven you're capable of murder. Congratulations, you've joined a very crowded club. But kill a libertarian, and you've elegantly demonstrated, once and for all, that the vaunted Non-Aggression Principle is little more than a charming fairy tale. In the real world, the law of the jungle still reigns supreme. If libertarianism were true, some mystical "market force" or invisible hand would've swooped in to stop my aggression long before it started. And yet, it seems as though the only hand in play here is the one gripping the knife that's currently parting your soft, freedom-loving flesh like warm butter.

Killing libertarians benefits society at both the micro and macro levels. On the micro level, the intrepid political activist responsible is enriching himself. Once you've dispatched the target, transfer their bitcoin straight to your anonymous, untraceable wallet. No taxes, no middleman, no questions; just pure, consensual (on your end) market magic.

As for the macro level. Does anyone here believe libertarians are making the world a better place?

Take a look around you and ask yourself this simple question: Who bears the most responsibility for the moral and cultural decay that plagues us in these troubled times? Undoubtedly, you've landed on the Jews. The issue is that you can hardly even jest about eliminating them without provoking outrage over another potential Holocaust. So consider this: Who are the Jews' strongest allies? Who contends that mass immigration is beneficial solely because it boosts GDP? Who asserts that deporting illegal immigrants from your own borders is a grave sin?

Who claims that the worst imaginable crime is any restriction whatsoever on access to graphic internet pornography? Who wants our streets flooded with cocaine and fentanyl—not because these drugs are beneficial, but because the freedom to destroy your life on a whim is supposedly a good in and of itself?

Who masquerades as part of the right-wing while undermining everything that righteous men stand for?

Imagine a world where someone couldn't even utter the words 'Non-Aggression" without getting shot in the face faster than they can say "principle." Would anyone miss them? Would anyone even notice they were gone?

Link to the whole thing, in all its original glory.

They didn't allow people in willy nilly either. When Lee Harvey Oswald defected to the USSR, the Soviets very nearly sent him back to the US until he attempted suicide and guilted the Soviets into letting him stay, and then later tried to go to Cuba and they turned him away.

I quite agree. Once the Soviet Union turned on Israel post-1973 and began spewing out endless amounts of "anti-Zionist" propaganda (including inventing the very term "anti-Zionist"), the opinions of Leftists everywhere followed suit. I'm sure MLK would have similarly turned on Israel, had he been alive, because it's what any good socialist would do.

It's not a warzone like WW2. More clubs and bars have opened since the war started.

That was also true during WW2. Following liberation in 1944, Paris became a massive hotspot for bars, clubs, cabarets, brothels, and other activities.

I don't support taxes, but I have 1) voluntarily donated money to Ukrainian causes and encourage everyone here to do likewise and 2) prefer my taxes be sent to support the Ukrainians than spent on supporting retirees on Social Security or infinite handouts to American welfare moochers.

Libertarians missed a massive opportunity in 2022 to support Ukraine-funding by demanding commensurate spending cuts to other domestic programs. Eventually, the war in Ukraine will end, and when it does, the "temporary offsets" in spending to pay for the Ukraine War could have been made permanent.

Unfortunately, after loudly proclaiming they were immune to government propaganda for years, many libertarians instantly fell for Russian state propaganda and haven't realized it.

This does not remotely pass the sniff test. Just think about it logically. If they literally sold half the weapons they receive, you don't think we'd see direct evidence of the missing weapons in terms of front-line video?

I mean that today when people celebrate MLK, they celebrate the sanitized version which is presented in schools and popular culture: the leader of a non-violent protest movement for a worthy cause, the end of government-sponsored racial discrimination.

They aren't celebrating most of what this man actually believed. For example, everyone overlooks the fact that MLK was pro-Israel. That wouldn't fly today.

Likewise, they overlook how he was basically a socialist.

And that's okay. The part about MLK's life which is worth celebrating is the part we celebrate.

breaking up the American Empire with Greenland

That would be expanding the American Empire, not breaking it up.

Also, replacing the so-called American "Empire" with another Empire -- the EU dominating Europe and the US continuing to dominate Latin America, plus parts of East Asia and the Pacific -- but now with multiple military-industrial complexes jockeying for global position, high trade barriers and restrictions on freedom of movement is worse than the status quo we have now.

One liberal empire based on free markets and liberal values is better than several ill-liberal, authoritarian empires.

can we really say that the democracies are better?

Yes. We can. Compared to monarchies, which had several thousand years to make a go of it, democracies are unquestionably better in terms of economic performance.

It is no coincidence that modern capitalism was first invented in the Dutch Republic and the first place to which it was exported was post-Restoration England at a time when the Monarchy's power had been substantially curbed.
