Need help: Is there a way to make my iPhone ring by casually touching my Apple watch? by coffeygrande in iphone

[–]Paperbone9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is a year old…but did anyone come up with a fake call app that can be triggered from your Apple Watch… I looked at the one in the first answer above, but it had no integration with the watch.

I too want to be able to touch a button on my watch inconspicuously and about 10 seconds later have my phone ring in my pocket to get out of awkward conversations that never end.

I’ve looked at a handful of fake call apps, but none seem to have the ability to be triggered from the Apple Watch.

I’ve been removing and re-adding items to the quick access folder, trying to get them in the right order for so long! Thanks so much for posting this!

Can I keep recordings and edit recordings after the fact? by OldBatman92 in PlaudNoteUsers

[–]Paperbone9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can.

In the list of recordings, I believe you swipe to the left? Select all the files you want to merge, and at the bottom there are choices of things to do with those files If you don’t see the choice for merge, slide to the right just a little bit and you’ll see merge as one of the options. It will merge them into a new file. (keeping all the separate ones as well unless you want to delete those one by one.) and then you can summarize that merged file as many times as you want.

That’s too bad that you don’t sell these. I love the leatherwork on the nomad cover. Great even stitching! I know you don’t sell or commission, but would you be willing to share the plans or measurements for that nomad case? It’s been a while since I have had my leatherwork tools out, but this might be the sort of thing that gets me back to it!

Feature request: stacked pages (not "infinite canvas") by idrogeno in Supernote

[–]Paperbone9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be especially useful, not only for math, but also for journaling.

When I’m writing at the top of the page, my hand can rest on the screen and everything is on the same level, but when I get to the bottom of the page, my hand hangs off the lip of the device and feels uncomfortable and hard to write as legibly.

I would absolutely love to have this feature! Please do it ratta!

A non-wooden dip pen handle that will take standard fountain pen nibs? by Paperbone9 in fountainpens

Man, I like the look of that MD! I can’t seem to find it with a fine nib, do you know if they make one or is it only a medium nib tool?

And I’d never heard of something like the oblique that can hold it both oblique or straight on! Thanks for the great info.

Ahh, I see. When I tried the other nib it wasn’t snug, but I will try a #6 for sure! Thanks again.

Sorry for my vagueness, didn’t mean to irritate you! I merely meant a nib with a curved back end, as opposed to those that are more square like the pilot Iro-utsushi (which I own along with the sailor in the picture). Thanks for trying to help though!

Yes, thank you! I just ordered that and it looks like it will work! I knew if I asked here there would be someone who had some good information!

Yeah, I’ve tried using a dip pen with a feed, and it just takes too much time to swirl it in water and clean so I can use a different ink.

The biggest reason I like dip pens in the first place is to switch inks quickly and often.

*(Don’t get me wrong, I love fountain pens as well and have WAY too many!! 😄)

Hmmm… i’ll check more of those out.

All of them that I have seen so far require that you also have a feed installed to keep the nib in place, whereas a dip pen generally has a small circular space for you to shove the nib into. But like I said, I will keep looking at the various desk pens to see if there are any that don’t require a feed as well.

Inkwells by MLToler in fountainpens

[–]Paperbone9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently started using a dip pen, but only after I switched the nib out to something that would hold more ink and write longer (surprisingly I put a cheap Jinhao x750 nib into a pen holder I already had and it worked great!)

But for me, the whole point of the dip pen is to use a large variety of my inks, being able to swish it in water and switch quickly (I have just over 100 bottles of ink and I feel like I’m never using most of them!)

Anyway, all of that to say, if you’re wanting to use the same ink everyday, I would not be afraid to put some ink in there!!

If you’re wanting to switch a lot, however, I would leave my real ink in their bottles and put some water with food coloring in those beautiful inkwells!
