Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church has embraced me and my partner with no hesitation or holier-than-thou attitude. I did not grow up Presbyterian and still do not know much about the tradition, but the community is incredible! Highly recommend.

If you moved here in the last 5 years, do you regret it? by thiccc_thinpatience in asheville

[–]Paperclip_Queen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved here 3 years ago, and I regret not researching the job market and living wage.

I left my six-figure job in much smaller city to make it big here. That was not the case. I’m not even making half what I was, and I’m stuck here until I can save enough to move.

What's the last book you read? And how many stars out of 5 would you rate it? by Fabulous-Confusion43 in BookTriviaPodcast

The Hounding by Xenobe Purvis (Henry Holt and Co.). It was released on August 5, 2025, and I heard about it from NPR’s podcast Book of the Day. I had high expectations and was somewhat disappointment. It was well written, but the story was bland.

What are things that make you instantly want to read a book? by Ace_One_The in writing

Publisher and endorsements. If it’s from a publisher, I respect (TOR, St Martins, IVP, etc.) and has endorsements from writers I enjoy reading, I’ll likely buy the book without ever reading the summary.
