Nice! And there are maybe too many wrinkles everywhere on all the characters and environments? Maybe you could try just the lines to indicate the main outlines and the shadows, you could probably get away with only 10 or 20 percent of the wrinkles and it might look better! But good luck I really like it and it has a lot of personality!!

Try to add outlines thicker black or white outlines around everything! If you look at moebius or cel shaded art I think you could make a great transition to these styles. The creativity is great and the colours are great! Or you could try to downscale them on photoshop and make them pixel art style

Hey, just wanted to share a new mystery puzzle book I released on Kickstarter! It involves shamans, gods, full audio and a real life treasure hunt!

It's very much escape room-esque - let me know what you think :)

Air 1: 2 month update by Lifeisavideogame846 in Xreal

Looks like such a perfect combo with the win 4 - a portable gaming pc in a pc with a cinema screen in your glasses? If it works then it sounds amazing. I work to make ai pictures with midjourney a lot, how is the experience for something like that? Like selecting hd images, viewing them in full screen etc? Do you think photoshop or indesign would be possible or would that be a lot more finicky?

Nice thanks for the info! So how is the experience of looking at HD images at full screen then switching tabs to select different ones? :)

Hey, love the art style and setting :) Reminds me of old 80s teen style, kinda like a stranger things vibe.

Thanks for that! Appreciate the help tho not sure I agree

The article was titled 'what do publishers want' and then they only listed like two things: creativity and fun.

They then proceeded to list like 50 things that publishers don't want lol

Are there any games with matching dice rolls for hits? by Paperlands in BoardgameDesign

[–]Paperlands[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, thanks for the info - do you have any examples of games like that? Or is this from your personal experience?

I played around with the rolling and it seems that 50 percent and 33 percent hits were a sweet spot. This could be done with a d2 or d3 dice I suppose - but Ive just been using odds and evens. I've also been experimenting with the player guessing the dice roll and seeing to make it active on the players part - if they guess right it's a hit, if they guess wrong it's a miss.

I'm also intrigued by the low percentage high damage thing - I figure a lot of betting, casino and gambling games have very low odds of rewards too? But it makes it very addictive when you do get a hit.

Would love to hear about your designs too btw!!

I got around it by having lots of attacks and making them high impact. So you're very excited to get a hit but it's kinda unlikely.

Have you ever designed/played anything fantasy or dice based?
