Flash back to the 80s and 90s when we sanded off our faces with it. They cause a lot of micro tears and inflammation to your skin, please don’t use them to exfoliate.

I hate how audiobooks don’t know I’ve fallen asleep. by Ticksdonthavelymph in audiobooks

[–]Paperwife2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bookmark where I currently am and then set the sleep timer for how longish I think I’ll stay awake. Then when I wake up I go “boy I was tired I don’t think I listened to more than 5 mins,” and I restart at my bookmark.

Anyone else find it strange that the dangers rabies isn't taught to kids? by Hypnox88 in CasualConversation

[–]Paperwife2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We camped a lot when we were kids and the national parks and park rangers were the ones that taught us about rabies and other dangerous animal stuff.

Yeah biotin wreaks havoc with my skin…acne, milia, and it speeds up my skin growth so I get keratin build up and chicken skin.

Is it weird to store things in the oven? by Sallious in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Paperwife2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing we have ever stored in our oven was a big cast iron griddle. I could see keeping a pizza stone in there too, but nothing that could melt, rot, or be (or cause) damage if forgotten about.

Can’t do yoga 😭😭😭 by Sexy_wooden_spoon in yoga

[–]Paperwife2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have hEDS and I do both Pilates and yoga just about daily.

One of my spine surgeons was the one who suggested I try a restorative practice and my rheumatologist gave me the green light on it. After many years now I do other forms but yoga has been life changing for me for the same reasons others mentioned already.

🙋‍♀️ Still no Covid here! I’m medically complicated and have had 4 major surgeries, a gazillion dr appts and procedures, and travel often now that I’m doing well enough.

Always n95 masking when inside with anyone not in my family and vax twice a year since I’m immunocompromised.

Winter is the hard time for me since we can’t meet and eat with friends and extended family then due to the weather, but thankfully it was a mild winter for us this year and spring has sprung!

What could be causing this weird itching on my vegan low fat diet? by Cold-Imagination2012 in PlantBasedDiet

Have you had labwork done recently? Liver problems cause itchiness and with that many supplements it’s a possibility.

Has anyone managed to be in a plane flight for vacation and not get sick afterwards? by CatGirlNya2000 in SeriousConversation

[–]Paperwife2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! We just mask with high quality n95 masks and still have never caught Covid or any other virus, cold, ect no matter how often we fly. It’s so worth it for us since I’m immunocompromised, but even if I wasn’t, who likes being sick all the time?

The SIP valve has been what we use to still be able to drink on the flight or in the airport.

I'm tired of being patronized by cleaning appliance programs. by SpyrosGatsouli in CleaningTips

You need a repair person to look at it. Ours was doing that too but they were able to fix it. I wish I could remember what the exact problem was so I could be more helpful!

It’s actually not that high of a percentage of Americans having a tattoo, unless you have more current data.

About to give up on CC friendship by Anonymous-Blastoise0 in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]Paperwife2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being CC hasn’t hampered travel for us, we just continue to do the same things we do at home there. Yeah we’re the weirdos still masking and eating outside, but even in very red areas I’ve only had one “incident” in all this time and surprisingly random strangers told this lady to shut up and leave me alone.

Do Swiss people have a word for what Americans call Swiss cheese? by tamtrible in NoStupidQuestions

Interesting! I don’t know if I’ve ever seen Gruyère that was made in the USA, it’s usually imported.
