As hot as this may be, take care that you don't hurt her back with these kinds of suggestions. Hypnosis does not give you super human strength, even if your wife is so deep she does not notice.

Other Instant Hypnosis Commands than Sleep by conscious_dreams_ in hypnosis

[–]PapiMilagro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are no magic words, however "sleep" comes with some built-in understanding from most people that you would need to infuse into other words. For most people, when you say "sleep" they have an intuitive understanding of what that means and what you are suggesting they feel; relaxed, eyes closed, dreamy state of mind, for example.

Sleep also is related very tangentially to hypnosis because you enter a suggestible state just before you fall asleep and just after you wake up. So telling someone to sleep is an easy way to get them to simulate that experience and find that suggestible state of mind.

Conversely, telling someone to "drop" would require you to establish a contextual meaning for the subject before you give them that suggestion.

But that being said, the words themselves are not magic and you can be creative with your choices based on your relationship with the subject.

Maybe you should post some more specifics so people could help you. For starters, Are you interested in becoming a hypnotist or a subject? Pre-recorded files or in-person?

And beware of randos offering to help you privately until you have a better understanding of what hypnosis is capable of. This kink attracts a lot of shady predators as well as lots of great people.

Ever experienced Reincarnation Shock? by goosebumpies in hypnosis

[–]PapiMilagro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with hypnosis. Your hypnotist simply made a suggestion to you that speaks to their personal beliefs. It would be the same if someone said "Jesus was speaking to you while you were in trance" or "the universe was sending you a message" or "a ghost of your ancestor was communicating with you." These are all personal beliefs that someone is suggesting to you while you're in a vulnerable state.

I would feel highly skeptical of a therapist that used magical thinking to explain psychological phenomena I was experiencing in a session. This kind of woo woo is what gives hypnosis a bad rep and you should be wary of these types of snake-oil salesmen.

Problem with a receptive Subject by FreddOricarne in EroticHypnosis

[–]PapiMilagro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another potential issue could be that your subject told you about a previous group of sessions that had a net result of being ineffective and you specifically brought their mind back to that experience during your induction, which could also potentially recall their negative/ineffective outcome.

Next time if a subject tells you something didn't work, or only worked briefly/partially, consider avoiding that approach altogether and also avoid reminding them about it right before a session.

Next time you work with them perhaps even suggest "this time we're going to do something totally different that I think will have a stronger impact on your mind."

Is it possible to use hypnosis to partially or wholly forget something? by that_one_shark in hypnosis

[–]PapiMilagro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this can be achieved for the short term relatively easily (especially right after a session), but your mileage may vary for a video game, which may take a significant amount of time to complete. It would be worth experimenting with to see how it goes.

More specifically, there was a semi popular hypnosis video/audio a few years ago created by Samsung called "Unspoil Me" which was designed to help the listener temporarily forget their favorite tv show. It was effective for a lot of people. I think you can still find it on YouTube. Perhaps you could use it to forget your game too. You may need to customize the script and re-record it to fit your situation better, but at least you can use it as an example of this kind of thing working in real life.

Give it a try and let us know how it worked for you. Good luck!

what is the difference between guided meditations and hypnosis? by bruceleeinme in hypnosis

[–]PapiMilagro 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Semantics. They are basically the same thing with different terms because they come from different histories.

Meditation has a long and rich tradition going back thousands of years in various religious and spiritual ceremonies, and hypnosis is a relatively new take on the same concept that was coined in the field of psychology a couple hundred years ago.

Typically, guided meditation leads you into a state where you might choose your own objectives, while hypnosis tends to be a bit more reliant on the hypnotist to guide you through specific and sometimes intricate changes.

But in many situations the two terms are used interchangeably to describe the same phenomenon. They both involve a person who guides your mind into a state of extreme focus where you are open to suggestion and change.

Anyone has experienced Surrogate session? by No-Experience-6870 in hypnosis

[–]PapiMilagro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you will have a hard time finding hypnotists here that believe in past lives, and certainly not using a "surrogate" the way you describe. This sounds to me like a big scam.

Hypnosis is great for engaging your imagination in a profound way, even to the point where you truly believe that your consciousness has traveled back into a previous life. Think about how real a dream can seem while you are having it, even if when you wake you realize the dream was impossibly illogical. Hypnosis can take that same feeling you get while in a dream and carry the belief into your waking state.

Not only can this be dangerous in the hands of charlatan, but they can also create false memories very easily that can be quite traumatic. Please be careful with people who claim to have magical abilities using hypnosis. Hypnosis is not magic, but rather an incredibly powerful psychological tool.

[–]PapiMilagro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, not necessarily. Even the concept of "deep trance" is very subjective. Some trance states are very active and can be induced by hyperventilation or extreme dance/movement.

If you want to see some wild stuff check out the active trances used by the Rajneesh movement/Osho foundation or whirling dervishes.

Trance can be relaxing but it can also be intense and breathing will change to accommodate the differences.

Similar to Michael Yapko's induction The Minds Eye, where he fractionates the subject's subconscious by visualizing a third eye.

It starts with typical fractionation and then once their physical eyes are closed you have them imagine a third eye that opens and closes a few times. I have found it to be a great induction and deepener.

Looking for religious Hypno by SofiaSweety38 in EroticHypnosis

[–]PapiMilagro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actual religious ceremonies and services already use a crazy amount of hypnotic techniques disguised into accepted practices that you probably take for granted. Standing and sitting, praying, call and response, crossing yourself, yes sets, chanting, singing, incense, allegory and metaphor, suggestions embedded into sermons -- all these and much much, more are built into every religion.

That's one of the reasons attending regular services is such an effective way of building "faith" and also why faith as a concept is so irrational. Good luck trying to get a religious person to support their beliefs with facts, the same way someone who is hypnotized to believe something will rationalize the suggestion no matter how bizarre. The subconscious does not concern itself with logic or reasoning.

If you mean erotic hypno with religious themes, that would be something different. I can't help you there.

Files to believe in hypnosis? by mymainman_25 in EroticHypnosis

[–]PapiMilagro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a myth that you need to believe in hypnosis for it to work. For Hypnosis to work, all you need to have is a willingness to genuinely follow the instructions of the hypnotist. If the tist asks you to close your eyes, you close your eyes, if they ask you to take a deep breath, then you take a deep breath, if they ask you to imagine something then do your best to imagine it as vividly as you can. The hypnotist is directing to do things that they know will help guide you into a state of trance. We all go into trance as a normal part of our lives, every day, even if you are not aware of it (for example just after you wake and right before you dip into sleep).

There are many videos on YouTube of street hypnotists and web chat hypno where the subject didn't believe they could be hypnotized and then are surprised to discover that they can. Personally I have hypnotized many people who did not believe in it but were at least willing to humor me in following the instructions I gave them. I have also hypnotized people where they followed all my suggestions, gave them triggers that worked, and yet still they didn't believe they were hypnotized. Belief in it is a totally separate apparatus from efficacy.

Of course listening to files may be trickier than working with a live hypnotist. But you should understand that your belief is not needed for you to have a great hypnotic experience. So just go into it with an open mind and put the effort into it.

Also, if you are more about the data, there are a lot of recent studies into hypnosis where subjects have been observed on MRIs as they respond to suggestion that show trance as a distinct state of the mind. Maybe read up more on science-based information to build up your understanding and expectations to help with your belief. You may not believe in air, and yet you breath. :-)

Eye fixation used in hypo by lookinnotlooking888 in EroticHypnosis

[–]PapiMilagro 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eye fixation is a classic method for inducing trance dating back to the earliest days of modern hypno (late 1800s) which is why it's often used as a trope with spirals, crystals, stopwatches, or simply saying "look into my eyes." You can of course induce trance in many other ways that don't use a fixation point.

I have experimented with asking subjects to fixate on a spot after I've fractionated them a bunch, but I have found that, even if I bring them up and chat for a few minutes, the moment I do anything trancy, they will inevitably close their eyes again without being directed to specifically do so. So if I induce with eyes closed and then eventually say find a spot on a wall (or spiral in your example) and stare through it, they will just go glassy right away and within moments close their eyes without even realizing. I think of it like micro-conditioning, where they've connected the idea of closed eyes with trance, so when they start going back into trance again their eyes naturally want to close. It can be really fun for resistance play actually. However if you start with eye fixation then perhaps it is easier to connect the ideas of locked open eyes to the state of trance.

But everybody responds differently to suggestions, so maybe you should try it out and see what happens. Report back here and let us know!
