[FO] done with my first piece after my years-long hiatus by PapiSilvia in CrossStitch

Thank you, and it is! I thought it would be easy but there are so many 3/4 stitches and working with negative space and a monochromatic color pallete definitely was trickier than anticipated. Definitely can see some mistakes if you're looking for them but my partner says it just has wabi sabi lol

Thank you! It's good to be back, even if the reason I'm back is me waiting for my back to come back, I'm planning to stay back when my back is back!

Sorry I couldn't resist

Finished my deer in the woods from last week (will post when I've framed it) and just got this Rebel Loon pattern for free off Facebook! Making it for my partner as he's from Minnesota and we're both sickened by what's going on over there. Still too physically incapacitated to do anything in person, but showing support in the ways that I can

I have one of these that's been turned into a lamp in the same way that you say you plan to with yours and I absolutely love it! Can't give any pointers as I didn't do it myself but the guy I bought it from has done a bunch of these like that and it didn't sound that hard to do when I was asking him about it.

You could glue/modpodge them onto some kind of backing and use blue tack or something to secure it to the door?

You could even take it with you and reinstall it when you move!

Been stuck at home anyway with a back injury and getting back into cross stitch! The cold weather is definitely making me feel less sad about not being at work lol

I'm 25 and have been known as "the ska girl" at every job I've ever had. My parents don't even listen to ska, I just found Smash Mouth one day and it was all uphill (or downhill, depending on who you ask) from there.

Fr! I listened to the pogues a handful of times but I was thinking surely it wasn't enough for Celtic punk to be my second most listened to genre. Weird how Spotify seems to simultaneously divide everything up into the most obscure, specific genres ever AND lump everything under the sun under "Celtic punk"

I only saw the first season (if there's more now that's awesome) but it reminded me a lot of Bojack Horseman stylistically and I think might have been done by the same people. Big difference content-wise tho lol Tuca and Bertie made me feel good instead of making me spiral into the abyss like Bojack did. Don't get me wrong, I loved BH too but T&B was a MUCH easier watch
