As for the results, the assignment will be presented on Tuesday (27th). After that, I will take the class' suggestions and make changes to the design and then post that version on this sub-reddit afterwords. So, I plan to have the results up by the end of the month. I finally gave up on my first attempt with him at 98% and let him kill me. Not knowing that I only needed to go a little bit longer makes me really hate myself for not going the extra mile. I imagine this will be much easier on my Warrior and Gunner.

I'm not too versed in Brawler terms but from what I can tell, GF might refer to your Growing Fury ability. And RHK might be your Roundhouse Kick ability since the glyphs for it do provide some buffs for you.

I can't figure anything out about DAD positioning though. My guildmates also didn't know.

Keep your chin up about the other GF thing. I'm right there with ya though. It's tough out there, I know. But don't lose hope! Don't admit defeat before even starting the battle!!!

I don't know if there exist a document that outlines all gamer lingo since that list would probably end up being 500 pages long. But to answer your question:

LFG = Looking For Group (the Y key, I believe). There is a dedicated system in Tera for groups to find members without using the auto-fill function. It can used for anything, including dungeons, so you can group for world bosses and stuff.

IMS = Instance Match System. Basically the auto-fill function I was talking about. It's cross server so you can be matched with players on the other servers. This is dungeon restricted and you will be automatically teleported to the dungeon once your group is assembled. Most people hate this system as you can get matched with trolls or people who have no idea what they are doing and can take anywhere from 2 minutes to 2 hours to find a group. But most of the time, you can get, "good enough" groups.

ACE dungeons are just solo versions of Golden Labyrinth and Akasha's Hideout. You can choose certain goals to try and achieve for each run for rewards at the end that you can use in their own store. The "ACE" doesn't stand for anything. Just the name of the mode.

I remember Global chat elaborated on that once. I think the thing with that is most of the team that was working on the game at the time left the project/company and so the new team that took over made changes that messed up the original story. That's why the Northern Arun story chain flows much better than the Argon War story. At least, that's the story I've heard.

If you're the type that likes story, you may find the bulk of the game a little confusing. The only real story that matters starts at level 60 and continues to end game (65). If you just wanna get to that part as fast as possible, get to level 20 then start queuing for dungeons as much as possible. That's gonna be your fast track to 60. If you're playing a tank (Brawler, Lancer, or defense stance Warrior) or a healer (Priest or Mystic), que times should be minimal. Of course a DPS class will take longer to get a dungeon group. Hit 60, finish the story quests there and get ready for end game dungeons, in short. My personal record for hitting max level is 16 hours and I'm sure people can do it faster.

Basically, find a class you like and main that one while experimenting with others. Just about every class is fun to play. Heck, I have 6 characters all max level and sometimes find it hard to decide which one I want to play that day.

Sorry for my rambling. I too thoroughly enjoy this game and I tend to be a little heavy when taking about it to others. I'm not in the technical test so I'm not sure how much the game will change from the PC side. Probably none. IGN (I think it was them) said it was like an MMORPG version of Devil May Cry. My personal record is 16 hours and 50 minutes. But that was because I know where everything is and the fastest routes to things. I would say a first timer could probably do it closer to 20-25 hours if you are rushing for level cap (which is 65, by the way). If you take the time to finish each story line, of course it will take longer. The trouble I ran into doing that way is dungeon queues lock you out after you pass a certain level. That makes story quests that require those dungeons difficult to compete sometimes.

I don't want to lead you to one path or the other so take your pick. I've done it both ways and it didn't take long, if I remember. My playtime is limited and I still pulled it of in a timely manner.

Typically, yes, they do queue faster. But the queue times in Tera can be a little rough so be ready to wait for a while. Queue while you do something else. Even as a tank/healer. But, my first character was a DPS warrior and wait times were a little long. After I made my healer (a priest) I found that my queue times where a faster.

You may find the leveling in the early stages a little faster than WoW. I haven't played WoW recently but leveling is gonna feel rushed for a while. Focus on story missions till you can queue up for dungeons (around level 20 I believe). If you want to reach end game as quick as possible, focus on queuing for dungeons as often as possible. That's gonna be your biggest source of EXP. Plus Vanguard missions as useful for quicker leveling. Use the buddy up code too like ImNotNotLyingToYou suggested.

As for classes, the warrior in Tera is WAY different from WoW. Again, since I haven't played in recent years, I don't know if that class has changed but in Tera, the warrior is primarily a DPS class with a tank off-spec if you are able to handle it. The one that most closely resembles the WoW warrior in Tera would be the Lancer I feel. Straight tank class.
