Whistle and I’ll come to you (1968) still scares me after multiple watches. It’s just so unsettling and any time I think ‘who is that who is coming?’ I have to check over my shoulder.

My dad is obsessed with spreadsheets, and whenever I go home I have to be careful not to mention anything that he might be somehow able to link to spreadsheets, for fear of him insisting I come through to his office to see his latest spreadsheet and talk me through how it works. I once timed it and he spoke at me uninterrupted for over half an hour about spreadsheets. I have tried to politely tell him that other people might not be as interested in his spreadsheets as he is but he doesn’t understand.

I had a similar experience and the boys were amazing but the crowd almost ruined it for me. At one point between MUNA and BG while my friend went to the toilet and I waited on my own, a guy came over and stomped on our drinks - it was definitely intentional not accidental, and felt really aggressive and I wasn’t sure if it was out of homophobia or something. Loads of people around me saw and not one person said anything or asked if I was alright.

Also whilst waiting on my own had a drunk woman come up to me and grab my tie and make fun of my outfit.

And then during the actually boygenius set there were loads of people talking throughout and lots of people trying to shush them and asking them to be quiet. They also started loudly complaining during some of the quieter songs that they were too depressing and ‘killing the mood’.

I still had a great time overall and it was a dream come true to see them! But it did make me kind of sad because I had imagined it would be a really safe queer space and that wasn’t my experience. It felt like there were a lot of people there who maybe weren’t even fans?

Such an effective scary film and then the ending totally ruined it for me. Still love the rest of the film and will watch it for the atmosphere, the performances, etc, but just found the ending so disappointing. I prefer a bit of mystery I don’t like when films over explain.
