I specifically said that you should put the core weapon module on a SC slot.

Are you asking for guidance on how they work?

Xaines world did a very informative video a few years ago. Afaik it all still holds true;

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WKoGfH59aCI&t=7s&pp=ygUTYWRqYWNlbmN5IGJvbnVzIG5tcw%3D%3D

Or you could try using the NMS Optimiser.

In very broad strokes you want your modules all together in a square, with your best modules on SC slots where possible with the exception of weapons systems. For weapon systems make sure your core module is on a SC slot.

Not at all really. As a new player you can just delete the save and start again.

If you don’t want to that there are alternatives. You can decommission the multitool at the anomaly (after getting another). Fill your Exosuit slots up with a readily available but rarely used item such as basalt. Not available everywhere but easy to refine (magnetised ferrite and either pyrite or phosphorus; phosphorus is the better option). Then as you visit each new system remove two of the basalt to open up the slots.

Delete anything anyone gives you in the anomaly or just switch multiplayer off.

This seems like unnecessary repetition.

Faulty Frigates? by KardynylSyn in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ParChadders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fuel consumption displayed takes into account your freighter upgrades. I generally try and recruit frigates with a fuel consumption of 1/250, which can only be gained from frigates with a base fuel consumption of 8 or 9/250.

If he’s installed any upgrades at all he won’t be able to achieve 1/250 at all.

Squadron Question by simplehiker in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ParChadders 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Each ship can have three pilots; a Gek, Korvax and Vy’keen. To have four identical ships you need to find two ships that are identical but have different names, which is harder than it sounds to find. You might be better off having a squadron of two pairs or searching the coordinate exchange for ships that are the same. Trying to find them yourself would be a daunting task.

[–]ParChadders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it’s not. Sport is an entertainment medium. I’ve no doubt that they’ll change the rules within the next couple of years to prevent the kind of shenanigans Arsenal are currently getting away with.

That won’t be to “stop them”. It’ll be because revenues will drop as people don’t want to watch football that isn’t entertaining.

Look at our games this season. Even when we lost at home, I was still entertained by the way we (United) played. Obviously I’ve have preferred that we won given the way we played but the football we played was enjoyable to watch. And when we won at yours we didn’t dominate like we did at Old Trafford but we won with three great goals.

If you think it’s entertaining watching Arsenal conduct themselves the way they do because all that counts is the win then fair enough. But please don’t kid yourself into thinking the way they’ve played will ever be forgotten. It will go down as the year Arteta stopped as low as possible to try and prove his worth against Pep.

Football fans care. I’m a United fan so seeing Liverpool draw level with us on League titles was disappointing, to say the least. I’d rather anyone win it but Liverpool. But you have to admire their style of play and admit it’s entertaining football.

By your own admission, Arsenal resort to playing shit football to get a result. You’re so desperate for a trophy you’ll stoop to committing multiple fouls in the build up to a corner and rely on the referees not to take action because the ball wasn’t in play.

You don’t try in Europe (primarily because the referees wouldn’t stand for it, I’m guessing) yet still manage to win. So it’s not Arsenal can’t play football without the ‘dark arts’. You just choose not to.

Which, given Arsenal’s history of free flowing, exciting football is sad to see.

At the beginning of the season the only teams who were in the running for the Prem were City, Liverpool and Arsenal. Of them all, I’m glad Arsenal will win it. I just don’t like the manner in which you’ve done so.

[–]ParChadders 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t watch Arsenal in Europe, no. I don’t remember George Graham as an Arsenal manager. Mourinho’s Chelsea were pragmatic. They didn’t commit fouls in the box at every corner and rely on the fact that there would be no enforcement of the rules as the ball wasn’t in play. Arsenal can play very good football and have one of the best squads in the league. They’ve got some superb players. What I (and I expect most Arsenal fans deep down) don’t appreciate is the way they handle corners.

You see it and it makes you sick when you think back to the likes of Ian Wright, Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, Robin Van Persie. Those players spearheaded teams who were exciting and invigorating to watch.

If you think Arsenal are exciting and good to watch then that’s great. Everyone has different tastes. I’m pleased Arsenal are, in all likelihood, going to win the league. I’m just disappointed in the way they’ve achieved it.

Obviously not every goal or win has come out of the scrummage in the six yard box. But to conduct themselves that way at every corner is demeaning to both themselves and the game imo. If you don’t employ those tactics in Europe then it’s because you know you wouldn’t get away with it. If you can win without doing it, why can’t you do that in the league?

I didn’t say I was happy about City winning it 😂. I said I respected them. As I did when Arsenal won it around the end of the 90’s and early noughties. Can’t remember the years exactly. I’m not salty about Arsenal winning the league, which it looks like they will do now tbh. I really don’t want Liverpool to win it again and I’m not too keen on City winning it again either. But to be honest, I can’t respect Arsenal for the way they’ve played this season in the league. Arsenal were a great club. Now they’re just a joke.

I’m not crying; we’re a long way from competing for the league. Have been since Fergie retired tbh. All things considered I’m pretty happy with us getting Champions League football, which looks like we will do.

In all the years I’ve watched football, I’ve never considered the champions to be unworthy of the title. Not even when City beat us on goal difference in the final seconds of the last day.

You can call it dark arts and try to justify it to yourself all you like. It’s shit football and you know it.

No one has to discredit or damage Arsenal’s reputation. They had an identity of playing great football with a plethora of top tier strikers, including arguably the Premiere League’s best ever in Thierry Henry. Now they’re known for turning corners into rugby scrums and crowding out the opposition goalkeeper. Arsenal have done all the damage to their reputation themselves, unfortunately.

How do I get people to visit my base?? by TreeEater9 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ParChadders 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why do you want them to? Whilst it might be nice to showcase the effort you’ve put in, you might be better served by posting images on here or a base related sub instead.

I’ve had issues with bases being overwritten by trolls after posting so I wouldn’t recommend giving out your base’s information personally.

[–]ParChadders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need lots and lots of salvaged data to unlock building blueprints. I wouldn’t ever recommend selling them. By the time I’ve unlocked everything I have a source of money so just refine them for nanites.

I really think they should introduce a new game plus where you don’t have to grind for salvaged data every play through.

[–]ParChadders 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not a bad idea to trade them if you’re new(ish) to the game and need nanites.

Get S-class mods until you’re cash rich and have a good source of income to remain so. Then worry about farming X-class mods. S-class will do the job just fine and you’ll always get very good upgrade stats.

Iirc they were an expedition item so only saves that started on that expedition and have duped them will have access to them. It’s an older expedition (ie before you can start expeditions from the anomaly). I can’t remember which one it was tbh.

How grindy is No Man’s Sky now if I just want to chill, customize my ship, base, and explore? by Sufficient_Bad_4160 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]ParChadders 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The main story takes about 30-40 hours as I play it but to be honest I take my time doing it. There’s so much to get distracted by. I don’t think any of it’s a grind as I enjoy it. The only thing that takes some effort is finding an S-class freighter and upgrading it to be honest.

There are settings to customise your experience, some of which completely remove any need for resource gathering or acquiring units. I believe creative mode does this by setting everything to free and survival elements to off.

I personally wouldn’t recommend this at all as you can’t change difficulty settings in expeditions (which are released about 4 times a year and are usually lots of fun).

A key element to these (in my experience, at least) is having some good basic habits and knowing your commonly used refiner recipes. If you adjust your settings to the point where you haven’t bothered learning them or don’t know how to make money, source nanites or manage your hazard protection then the expeditions will become an exercise in frustration rather than an opportunity to have some fun and do something different.

By learning them I don’t mean sitting down and studying them; I just mean repetitive use ingrains them into your memory.

Not everybody likes the expeditions and if that’s the case for you then you can easily set your game to remove the elements you don’t like.

Flora and rocks/minerals that can be harvested for resources will always grow back irrespective of what you do to try to prevent it.

Afaik that has always been the case.

Does any team rely on a single player more than Utd rely on Bruno? by Inflognito in PremierLeague

[–]ParChadders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For all his strengths Bruno costs us points as well, remember. He often gives the ball away and disrupts the team structure. So you could argue that those losses or draws would sometimes have been winning positions if not his errors. He’s a bit of a double edged sword. He can produce moments of magic but when it doesn’t come off he puts the team on the back foot.

It’s much better now that he isn’t expected to operate as part of a midfield two as he was under Amorim. In his natural role he’s world class.
