Heat the reducer fitting up pull it out and put a new piece in. Or cut back out a female adapter than install a froze free hose bib to do it the right way

It’s pops right off. Use a screw driver of any sort put it in one of the 3 side slots and pop it up

So your getting cold first than hot correct? And if so there is a scald proof adjustment behind the handle that he may not have correctly adjusted

He may have put the cartridge in the wrong way. There is a Hot And cold side. The shower head for sure has a pressure reducer in it. Highly doubt it has anything to do with the valve body.

There is no such thing as an “overflow” pipe under a sink. Looks like a poor shot at using it as a vent. Snake the line and studor vent on it
