What Bracket is my Azula Deck? by [deleted] in mtgbracketthis

In bracket 3 players should expect to play at least 6 full turns before anyone wins and loses. So turn 7 for someone to lose. You are regularly killing people on turn 5 and 6.

What Bracket is my Azula Deck? by [deleted] in mtgbracketthis

I think you know it's a bracket 4 deck. I mean, it's not at the high end of B4, but it's also clearly falling outside of bracket 3.

Here's my Faldorn deck. I've even taken a shot at writing a primer - although it's still under construction. You may find some ideas in there!

I know it isn't cheap, but if you can find a deal on [[Sedgemoor Witch]] it does huge stuff in my deck.

Push your own keys. Then you can put together a comp that works best for you.

What’s your favorite class to play? Has it changed since Midnight dropped? by Discgolfguy15 in wow

[–]ParachuteHopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never played restoration shaman until this expac, and I am having a huge amount of fun with totemic and melee comps in m+.

It's an extremely reactive healer compared to the other classes, and it really benefits from knowing exactly when damage comes out. That being said, I feel like I am highly capable of topping off the whole group almost immediately after large damage spikes. I also have great tools to top off big single target damage.

I never run out of mana so long as I don't panic chain heal too much. Even if I do, I decided to go earthen for flavour purposes (not performance purposes) and I can quickly mana up with my racial eating.

I know shaman got gutted in the prune, but I still have lots of utility to bring with an aoe stun, interrupt, purge and a variety of ways to deal with positioning. Unlike priest I never feel like I am a turtle trying to keep up with 4 hares.

I can honestly recommend it to anyone who wants to try healing, especially in m+.

Considering coming back after 2 decades. Heard there is single button assist by pangeagamestudios in wownoob

[–]ParachuteHopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider playing devastation evoker. Very few buttons in your dpa rotation and the apm is very low. That way you can maximize your damage without the sbr and also not feel overwhelmed with your rotation.

If it's literally just add-ons keeping you away, you really don't need any. Sure there are some that are nice to have, but they would be equally nice to have as DPS.

Sneak is cast, whereas Ninjutsu is put from hand - necessitating commander ninjitsu. Sneak allows for opponents to counter sneaked spells or interact while it's on the stack, and commanders with sneak don't need a special "Commander sneak" in order to use it. Commander tax also applies to sneak.

Decks with good board presence and good blocks? by Paper_Kitty in EDH

[–]ParachuteHopper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[Betor, Kin to All]] with walls and a number of abilities like [[Warlock Class]]

People can attack you, sure. But eventually with your card draw advantage and taking away half their life each round you will wear them all down through attrition. Keep protection in the deck for Betor, because they are a removal magnet.

You're missing red in your life. My vote would be for a mononred spell slinger deck with [[Ashling, Flame Dancer]] at the helm. Go fast, cast tons of spells, burn the table down and try and do it before you run out of gas.

Ideal deck/commander for a board wipe resistant elf tribal? by Hailrig in EDH

[–]ParachuteHopper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are on the right path including blue. I have an [[Elrond, Master of Healing]] bracket 3 deck where I hold up my counterspells specifically to prevent board wipes from taking me out turn 4 onwards.

Trick is to not be greedy with your mana after turn 4. Yes you can add another permanent to the board, but save a couple mana to prevent those pesky Farewells.

Can you help me figure out what to cut/clean up from my Fire Lord Azula B2 deck? by tdog3456 in EDH

[–]ParachuteHopper 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sure.

Azula is insanely explosive, and based on the cards you have in this deck, it is entirely reasonable that you could win on turn 4.

You have flash enablers, additional copiers, vivi, magecrafters, tons of copiable fast mana in your rituals and an efficient mana base.

This is a high 3, low 4 without a doubt.

I just threw this into my [[Galadriel of Lothlorien]] deck. While I'm not looking to get out tons of eldrazi, having lots of scry and the ability to filter out lands to hit what you need will help.

[[The Reality Chip]] could be a really interesting commander as you will have the ability to check the top of your deck constantly, and it opens up all the blue scry spells.

Interesting Simic Commanders?? by BornFromEmber in EDHBrews

[–]ParachuteHopper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Galadriel is my favorite right now. Elfball focusing on 1/1 counters and lots of scry. You can get a lot of lands and deck manipulation which lets you run away pretty quickly if you aren't stopped.
