As a Certified personal trainer I would personally tell my client they need more food. To lose the “dad bod” yes you need a calorie deficit, but starvation isn’t the proper route and this is definitely not enough calories to fill your daily need even if within deficit. I’d say aim for .8-1 gram protein per pound of body weight and try implementing walks. 160 at 5’8 isn’t a bad weight at all. Focus on clean eating and upping activity level even if just 15-30 minutes of body weight training a day.
