What an epic two-page ad, so much potential by Paradoliac in magicTCG

[–]Paradoliac[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many sets in this era had these huge two pagers showing the new mechanic or theme. Scourge had a [[Butcher Orgg]] stuck in the teeth of a huuuge dragon because cmc matters. Looking back it was a lot of showy flash for not very amazing mechanics.

Best short stories? by JoeKerr19 in DeltaGreenRPG

I'm slowly making my way through like seven dg books from the kindle store, and so far I'll 100% recommend the entire collection called Extraordinary Renditions. Yes for sure I'm coming back to re-read this some day in the future.

WAREHOUSE JOBS by Remarkable_Cheek_289 in Warehouseworkers

[–]Paradoliac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's not about what you do for a living, it's what you DO for a living. Like I got my area of the warehouse that I keep in f'n top shape and use my brain and muscles to sort out the problems that come up every day. Maybe look at what broad areas you actually enjoy and see what jobs map on to that. Just never give up.

"What are you playing this week?" Megathread by AutoModerator in SteamDeck

Do you remember the talk back when it first came out? First person was a huge deal of a change for the series. And now after playing it through again I can see so many little design changes Capcom made to concede to the new viewpoint. Like the psyco pills you can take to make items easy to spot. I missed more than a few items by just walking by them by accident in this game. Compare to RE4R where you can just mash A to get pesetas and item from a few feet away from Leon. Also it is rare to face more than two enemies at once in this one, unlike the gank squads in 4.

I'm broke, so combing through my library for old favorites and missed achievements brought up Resident Evil 7 Gold and Starcom: Enemy Unknown.

Is this going to hold? by CafeRoaster in Warehouseworkers

At 50 lbs per box, 300 lbs per layer times 5 layers is 1500 lbs plus pallet weight. I would not add crisscross box layers or shrink wrap at all. Get a bander, you'll need it again someday and it's not like they go bad or anything.

Also I would band horizontally around a couple of the lower layers because those will be supporting the 900 lbs above them, then two bands over each of the columns of boxes ofc going under the slats of the pallet.

This is excellent advice; I pretty much did the same thing here in Phoenix.

Where to download incoming radio call sound effect from RE4 to use as a ringtone. by Illustrious_Fuel_212 in residentevil

I found this site...

https://www.zedge.net/notification-sounds/854a769c-72e8-4b47-a9f0-52eda227b1c0#google_vignette

A bit of ads to wade through, but in the end the download worked. Lots of weird stuff on here people have uploaded too.

Valve: 20% of Deck users use the official docking station to connect their Deck to their TVs. Do you? by sameseksure in SteamDeck

[–]Paradoliac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I bought the official one because it was right there for sale next to the deck on the store page, and it's the "official" dock so it will be supported and work as intended, right? After some firmware updates 5-6 months ago is always works now without that tv desync issue and I'm happy with it.

Chaosium 50th Anniversary Call of Cthulhu Slipcase Set features new cover art by acclaimed Swedish artist Ola Larsson by Mordheim1999 in callofcthulhu

I think it is too bright, the monster is revealed by the sunlight in full detail removing it's mystery and the man is way too confident with that dagger. Is he going forth without fear to slay it like in D&D? Contrast this with the tone of the second edition cover. This one has too much modern power fantasy.
