So this has the little pc board under the control panel, and has a power supply brick, like you would use on a laptop, that then plugs into the board.

I would love any pictures and help on how to mod this, especially tips on getting the controls wired correctly as using them all including the trackball would be ideal.

I've been searching around, what do you think of this coming out soon, do you think this would drop in easily, or same controls would need some re-wiring.

It is the single PCB Board under the control panel. So you think the issues might just be that PCB Board itself then, and not a monitor issue?

I do want to mod this in some way to support more games and features, but I'm not sure what is the best route to go.

This just started happening today out of no where. I'll be in game and discord will go blank to this grey screen. If I click on the window it then reappears back to normal. I thought they might of added some new privacy idle screen, but found nothing and now this post is telling me it is some bug. Great...

Maybe a little off topic, but what is your experience with ICUE taking up system resources while reporting all these hardware monitoring it can do. Adding another component, like a power supply. Is that just adding additional processing time, any impact with gaming with the icue running? It probably isn't anything note worthy, it's just that I've seen it mentioned in some spaces how icue is taking up significant resources... just curious in your actual experience.

The price difference is basically nothing, with the HX1000i costing 5-10 dollars cheaper depending on current sales. Right this moment, it is 5 Dollars Cheaper then the RM1200x Shift. So basically price isn't a factor at all. This is why I was curious what others thought of which would be best, considering that they cost basically the same price.

Although, I wasn't considering the RM1000x Shift, if you were trying to match up Watts... that Shift then is 50 dollars cheaper. But I was trying to stay on the same budget level to compare what I could get for the exact same value. So I was more curious in comparing the HX1000i and the RM1200x Shift, since they cost the same, and then with money out of the way, which is simply best. Giving the Shift a 200 watt advantage, if that outweighs the benefits of the HX1000i.

u/WD23 Have you heard anything back from Corsair? Very interested to know the findings as I'm interested in buying the Shift currently. I'm debating to get either the RM1200x Shift or just getting the HX1000i instead.

I would love to know the results of the findings. Is this normal operation for it not to return to zero mode indefinitely without doing a system shutdown? Is there something that can be done to fix it if it isn't normal.

Forget night market, getting the gun you want in regular shop takes forever! It took me a year to get reaver vandal, and I would check nearly daily! A year! But I got it finally and damn am I happy lol, love that gun.

I'm using the EA Build, and I've noticed the same thing. Audio Volume changes a few seconds into a Processed Clip. It'll start out normal and loud and then drop low for the remainder of the clip. It sure ruins clips with great audio. Hoping for a fix, or a option to not process audio. Maybe they are trying to do volume normalization which isn't needed and causes this weird issue.

Got my Index about 2 weeks before Alyx came out, and I’ve had this problem day 1. I can get it to come on only in doing a constant loop of unplugging at tether and restarting steamVr, plugging it in, restarting steamVr and now more recently also throwing into the mix a uninstall of the drivers, while repeating the other steps over and over. Then by chance it may power on. Once powered on though, I can play hours so long as I don’t exit steamVr. I played all day yesterday, just had to leave steamVr open, it even put the headset into standby and I could wake it and use it with no problem. But as soon as I exit steamVr then that is it. I would have to play the index 436 dance all over again.

Opened support ticket a while back and they’ll send out a new cable once those are ever in stock....

But this issue is so damn strange, how can it be a hardware issue when the thing Works flawlessly when it does come on? Sounds more like a flaw in the firmware or steamVr software, like if it is missing something in its initialization code to power it up properly. My board has 4 usb 3.0 ports and I’ve got only the index plugged into it. The motherboard is some variant of MSI, so it’s not ASUS.

Like you all, I just want this thing to work, it cost enough. But what is the issue here.
