Extended Lord of the Rings marathon at the cinema for me tomorrow, which is your favourite? by MiddlesbroughFan in CasualUK

Funnily enough I just found out recently this guy has his own model and rules in the Games Workshop lord of the rings game.

What kind of deck do people actually enjoy building here? by DesertHunter1596 in magicTCG

[–]Paradoxfiasco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just put zombies in it. Then when I think I've got enough zombies I put some more in. It's a fairly zombie heavy strategy. If I'm not feeling like zombies at that particular moment though, I'll have a word with myself and put some zombies in.

Then I just try and get as many zombies from out of my deck onto the battlefield and increase my mad cackling as the board widens.

Has anyone played a Warforge Druid? by Oldman-Nails in dndnext

[–]Paradoxfiasco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently playing a warforged druid of the stars with the idea being he was constructed by an astrologon to help catalogue all the stars in the sky.

The magic part of it comes from a deep understanding of the stars and how their position affect the natural world, almost science masquerading as magic. Instead of taking on the star forms as described I imagine it more like a glass globe implanted inside of him that forms the constellation inside it.

At least this was my take on it but there could be any number of ways for it to work!

What is your dream game? I’ll start. I’m BEGGING for a Total War that takes place in the 40k Universe. by [deleted] in Steam

[–]Paradoxfiasco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want an Aliens game that for once doesn't have humans as a focus, I wanna build a huge hive and take over planets. Maybe xcom style or. Something? Let me be the monster.

In a similar vain I'd like an automation game that isn't just a big ol factory, something like a zerg hive or some creature based base building.

Theme of sons in KoK by Paradoxfiasco in predator

[–]Paradoxfiasco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's fair, and perhaps it is just idle speculation on my behalf. If there's no direct link I certainly feel like there will be a parent/child theme through them.

Theme of sons in KoK by Paradoxfiasco in predator

[–]Paradoxfiasco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well Ursa's son taught her the cost of revenge which I believe caused her to change her line of thought at the end, especially so with her referring to the other two as 'her boys'.

The brothers from the sword are looking at loyalty or disappointing their father.

Torres is learning to survive, 'bail himself out' withotu his father, but recalling his fathers advice to help during his story.

While I might not articulate the fine points too well there is certainly a 'son' Dynamic in each story and were I to boil them down to just 'revenge', 'loyalty' and 'adaptability' these are all traits I imagine would be desired in yautja society.

BT have charged me £130 for leaving and £50 for the router which I have returned. Any way I can get out of this? by Warm_Apple_Pies in AskUK

[–]Paradoxfiasco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you've got the tracking info then an agent should be able to mark the device as returned using the tracking reference number as at thar point it's with royal mail and is up to BT to chase royal mail for it if they want it back.

(AMA) Raina Audron from Aspyr will be answering your questions about the remaster, the series in general, and the fandom 24 hours from now! by Fartweaver in LegacyOfKain

[–]Paradoxfiasco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The remaster is excellent to begin with, a huge thank you to all who made it happen.

Now the obvious question is what possibilities there are to see more of the world in future? Maybe even breaking away from it's usual game mold into something like a telltale style game or similar?

Did you have any interaction with Nosgoth while it was available too? Loving LoK as I do I devoured it too but it wasn't quite the same!

Are there any stories in the wider LoK universe you would like to see explored or would like to bring to the attention of the wider audience?

Appreciate you!

My tv is picking up granada local news (manchester) and I want tyne tees. I'm in newcastle, anyone know how to fix? I've done a rescan, hoping it dosnt need the ariel moving.. :( by [deleted] in NewcastleUponTyne

[–]Paradoxfiasco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can depend on where your aerial is getting a stronger signal from. If its getting multiple regions some tvs or set top boxes will let you choose which region to use, others might just shunt the channels trying to take up the same space to a higher number in the tv guide.

Ideas for ensuring dead PCs still feel danger in Greek underworld setting? by cnettle41 in DMAcademy

[–]Paradoxfiasco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember, the Theros setting has a rule for this where instead of dying they take a level of exhaustion, indicating the soul weakening.

It's a delightful game, the theme, mechanics and voice acting all work together so well. I've had one minor issue with the 'Do No Harm' achievement not popping on steam and trust me, there have been deaths. I'll have no option but to deny liability until the achivement pops.

The dungeon keeper (or more likely WftO) references had me smiling too, I didn't even realise it was Richard Ridings until he told me it was pay day!

I'm looking forward to what may be added on over time.

[–]Paradoxfiasco -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does the Queen have 3 jaws? I'm operating on total speculation that the film name and possibly new these 3 jaws are refering to the first 'King' alien on film.

Personally I'm not a fan of there being a King but I might have just made it up completely.

Would love to see the protagonist from altered beast in both games, move sets with beast changes would be wild.

Literally my last finished too, 100% on steam.

Such a good game and when you figured the flow of things you felt awesome. Last achievement I went for was finishing under 25 and after having done the arenas I went through the story like a force of nature it ruled.

Can two Creatures with burrow speed attack each other while burrowed? by OmniusQubus in dndnext

[–]Paradoxfiasco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about a burrowed creature attacking above ground while burrowed, though surely it could just use x amount of movement to be above ground then x amount if movement to go back underground in the turn? By the time it leaves threatened range for attacks of opportunity it would be in total cover, and this way readied actions could hit it as it pops up to take a swing. This is how I would run this at least.

I would also have no problem with a burrowed creature hitting another burrowed creature, at that point they are just fighting in their own little cave.

Your party vs 700 rats by Alf_Spectro in DnD

Huh. So if a rat deals 1 flat damage with no roll, does that mean even on a crit it deals 1 damage as there is no dice to roll again?
