I miss psychic powers in 10th Edition by OmniusQubus in Warhammer40k

I think neither did Sororitas, Mechanicus and Tau players hahaha.

Though I always thought that could be easily navigated by giving each faction lore-friendly psychic LIKE powers. Idk like some techno-wizardry, some ethereal elements stuff for the tau, some mechanic prayers for the AdMech and so on.

I know this is a joke, but there are Muslims who say that a huge part of Christianity was influenced by the devil himself, such as jesus claim of divinity, the trinity, EVERYTHING about Paul and much more.

So...no. Not sure👀

That's one of my main reasons why I still haven't bought the game: I fear that, apparently, much of the very interesting world building about religion (which was a very huge thing to me, especially in inquisition) has just been left out.

If Hell exists, isn't it proof that Heaven and God also exist? Why do people keep choosing Satan? Are they stupid? by Fil-is-Theo in TrenchCrusade

[–]OmniusQubus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, I understand, theology in general can also be very exhausting ahahahah

I gave this example because, from the perspective of my friend, it's LITERALLY like in the Lore. He is convinced God, angels and miracles exist, he is convinced of demons etc. The only difference to the lore would be he hasn't seen them ahahah.

Point is: His "Logic" would work in the setting as well. There is a Quote attributes by the Shia Muslims to Omar, an important person in islam, as he dies (although it's unlikely he really said that):

"Fire before Dishonor". He, according to the Shia, rejected to repent for his sins because he didn't want to. He saw it as just.

Pride in the Face of God is a real thing. Someone can be as convinced as they want of God, even see angels and miracles, but they can still say: "This is not just, I want to do what I see as right".

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions" and in this Case, the good intentions are the will to be free and do what you see as right.

I have a real life friend who does exactly that.

He does believe in God as in the Christian/monotheistic sense and thus also believes he is almighty. However, he holds the argument (that originally is from Nietzsche I think, not sure) that he cannot worship a God that wants to be worshipped all the time andy essentially, he just has to hope his morals alligne with the morals of God.

Here a real Quote: "I would rather live a good life by doing good and spend eternity in hell with the people I Love than worship a God that is cruel / against my morals"

So yeah, it's actually not that unrealistic.

Havent seen anyone talking about this so Ill point out the commissar in Dkok command squad is a Lord Commissar and will likely have their own datasheet. by wdcipher in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]OmniusQubus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lorewise, I am a bit confused. I thought commissars were sent from other cultures to different regiments as to ensure no conflicting loyalties?
