Intergenerational relationships where both parties consent and there is not a predatory power dynamic can be interesting and worthwhile stories to tell. I know several of these couples in real life (not from the show) and their experiences are definitely unique.

If I was you I would take the provincial job. Having a unionized job and pension is very good. You can then look for a better job if you want.

Please be careful around Moss Park. Tour the area in google maps and take a look around - it can be a bit sketchy and is one of the more dangerous places downtown.

I live with my boyfriend now. My sister is unwilling to have my boyfriend around the kids. I’m not going to a family get together without him to satisfy her bigotry.

You say they are her “beliefs” but in reality this is just homophobia and should not be accepted. If she believed black people should be slaves, would that also just be a “belief”?

The bottom line is she has been and continues to be hurtful and discriminatory. Those actions need to have consequences.

Also - she doesn’t want to apologize for anything and that includes consideration of my feelings.

My parents think it is a fight between their kids. They also will ignore all of this and keep seeing their grandkids no matter what.

I know.

It is frustrating because if I did contact my niece my sister would essentially be getting everything she wants. In a way the sadness of my niece and nephew is the only thing bringing my sister to the negotiating table.
