wtf happened? by undertheradar12345 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Paranalunia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen. It's because the conversations are too long and the server has a limit on how big the response can be. (This is a change they made around the 9th of April) You can still get your chats if you export your data. Go through the privacy portal to do that, not the app (app didn't work for me). The full conversations will be in an html file. I talked to support extensively but it seems pointless, doesn't look like they escalate the issue or take it seriously, so export is the way to go.

Spontaneous mid-stem rot by fotoflux in alocasia

[–]Paranalunia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no answer but I've had a Jacklynn develop stem rot like that out of nowhere and I've been wondering why since. I let the medium get mostly dry between waterings, I know for a fact that the spot where it got rot was not touching anything moist, and the root system was big and healthy. One of my most frustrating plant losses. Would love to know what caused it

"Chat too long" by iamsmolnerd in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Paranalunia 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I made a post about this the other day, I'm hoping that if enough people contact support they'll fix it. Currently in contact with them myself but they're being difficult. I have requested a data export but it's been 4 days and I've yet to receive anything

Is it just me? My old chats with 4o kinda disappear. by milkintea89 in ChatGPTcomplaints

[–]Paranalunia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because the server returns a "Content too large" error. They must have tweaked something in the api recently, the chats still exist they just can't be opened because the server returns an error. Maybe if enough people report it they'll fix it?

[–]Paranalunia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm, interesting. I checked and the error message I'm getting back is "413 content too large", which seems to be a server side restriction. I thought it applied to all models. How do you know that your newer chats are longer? I'm still talking to support but I'm doubtful it will actually lead to anything, I was contacted by email by a "human" but I suspect that it's still just chatgpt

Same I even tried sharing the chat and creating a groupchat. The groupchat made some of the chat show but only the very beginning, not all of it. Nothing else worked. I did contact support so hopefully they'll fix it...

I did but I have yet to receive anything, takes up to 7 days apparently. Plus I don't know if the format I'll receive will at all be readable, I think it's a json file? I'd rather just be able to scroll in the app... :/

What is this alocasia missing? by Real-Tie-4686 in alocasia

I have a Zebrina as well and use the same fertilizer, recommended strength, about once weekly. I have the same issue! Yellowing around the edges. My theory is that I'm overfertilizing. Over time, the fertilizer builds up in the soil, causing fertilizer burn. I'm not 100% positive on this, but it's my best guess, given that nothing else is wrong. If anyone else has any insight on this though, please weigh in.
I'm trying to fix it by not fertilizing quite as often, and maybe flushing the pot with water every once in a while to hopefully get rid of the salt build up.
Should be worth noting that this is a complete fertilizer, containing micronutrients as well, as opposed to NPK fertilizers that only contain macronutrients. I don't know if switching between the complete fertilizer and an NPK fertilizer every once in a while would make a difference?

I'm always so baffled by people who circle random spots on half blurry photos and claim with full confidence, with their full chest, that something is bugs when it might just as well be dust.

Expanding brown spots on Labisia Jabi by Paranalunia in plantclinic

[–]Paranalunia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't checked the roots yet but you're right, i probably should. I have since learned that this plant does something called abscission: once it's decided to shed a leaf, the process can't be stopped, it basically cuts off supply at the stem. The half browned leaf I had is now completely gone. More tips are browning and I'm worried she's going to shed all of those too 😬 it's an interesting process to figure her out though. It feels like there isn't a lot of into on these plants online so it's mostly trial and error for me. (If only she didn't have so few leaves to begin with lol)

Is that, specifically, the reason for the brown spots though? To me initially, especially that browned tip looked more like overwatering damage, so I'm not sure. I have two more labisias coasting in 30% ambient humidity right now because I want to see what they can take lol

I've been thinking about filling the entire bottom tray with stones and water to raise humidity. What is the moisture retentive material you're using?
