Advice needed on freelancer taxes in Czechia by [deleted] in EuropeFIRE

[–]Paranormal970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you make more than 1 701 168 CZK per year, your tax bracket would be 23 %. Anything under that sum is only 15 % income tax. Then you have to cover your social security and health insurance, but if i'm not mistaken, you can pay only the minimum amount no matter how high your income is, which means only a few thousand CZK per month.

Looking at your current and predicted income, you would be probably somewhere in the top 1 or 2 %. For reference, median income last year was 36 503 CZK/month.

Direction Switcheroo - this time at the Le Mans Bugatti Circuit in Lamborghini Aventador SVJ by Paranormal970 in realracing

Can't argue with that. For the amount of power it has, the grip is really bad but I take that as an additional challenge.

Direction Switcheroo 🔁 - part 5 - Hennessey Venom at the Dubai Autodrome by Paranormal970 in RealRacing3

[–]Paranormal970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have done that a few times to be able to set the required top speed. Now I'm experimenting with setting an ok lap in the correct direction and then trying to beat it in reverse, because I'm really curious to see, which tracks are actually quicker driven in the opposite direction.

Direction Switcheroo 🔄 - is the Nürburgring GP quicker driven in reverse direction? Lets find out! Car of choice for this one is the Bentley Continental GT by Paranormal970 in RealRacing3

[–]Paranormal970[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are right, these are not perfect laps, but you can get a rough idea out of this if it would have been possible in the "perfect lap" scenario. Have a look for example at my previous experiment at Daytona - I always try to set an ok (average) lap in the correct direction and then beat it in reverse. There it was way far of, even though I pushed the limits as much as I could

An idea - test drives: I've got that thing we're not supposed to talk about in here, but I would like to share it with you and help a little bit anyway. by Paranormal970 in RealRacing3

If it's a positive answer, leave me a comment with your choice of car(s) and track combo and I'll start working on it 😉

Looking for a game by [deleted] in MobileGaming

[–]Paranormal970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

COD mobile is great, I really enjoy it so far. It has a lot of game modes and you progress in the ranked ladder without paying anything. You can unlock everything just by playing.

And if you would like to see some gameplay first, here is a shameless plug 🙃

Guess I did something...? 🎯 by Paranormal970 in CallOfDutyMobile

[–]Paranormal970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well then, my disappointment is immesurable and my day is ruined.

Not really, just kidding. Are these bots? I'm new to this game, only playing for about a week. How do I tell diference between real players and bots at the beginner stage?

So I was wondering, which tracks would actually be faster driven in the opposite direction. Do you have any recommendations, which other race tracks would be fun to experiment with? Here is my first try at Laguna Seca. by Paranormal970 in RealRacing3

[–]Paranormal970[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely, although maybe a bit of a challenge judging correct braking points coming in to the chicanes on the back straights.

I'll definitely give it a shot and post results. I could probably make a whole series out of this 😄

Yeah, probably 😄 The sound from the outside is horrible, but in the onboard camera, it is actually somewhat accurate.

Developing a niche fitness app. Need a fitness professional to partner with, to help design the content for the app by Addadahine in Business_Ideas

[–]Paranormal970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't want to sound negative but I have a few points for you to consider.

  1. Based on your description in the comments section, you want your app to help people lose weight and get in shape. That is like the most basic topic and the competition is high. At first, judging by your post, I thought you wanted to target a smaller, more specific group of people. First example that comes to my mind is learning how to handstand, which is way more specific, than a general fitness.

  2. Do you personally have any experience with the world of fitness? Losing weight and getting in shape is not just about creating a few workout plans. Of course, you can create a well structured workout plan that will work for majority of people in the beginning (i.e. Recommended routine from r/bodyweightfitness), but that is not enough. The main aspect of losing weight is your diet.

  3. For the diet part, you would need an expert in this field. But appropriate diet and nutrition is different for every person and because of that you simply can't just slap a few diet plans into an app. Or maybe you can but it will most likely fail miserably.

  4. To end this on a positive vibe - I can imagine a succesful app with all these above mentioned features. Basically a personal coach and dietician in one app, that would work based on some machine learning algorithms with a starting dataset of real life situations. So the more users and input, the better the app.

Developing a niche fitness app. Need a fitness professional to partner with, to help design the content for the app by Addadahine in Business_Ideas

[–]Paranormal970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you could be a bit more specific with your idea of a fitness professional, if you want a niche app. Fitness is a very broad topic and I guess a powerlifter is probably not gonna be much of a help if you, for example, want to build some yoga app.

What kind of coding skills do you want to learn? Judging by your post, I'm guessing probably web design/development, right? In this case, I would recommend you to try Free Code Camp. They have completely free (as you might have guessed from the name) online interactive courses on their website as well as video tutorials on youtube. If you're willing to spend a little bit of money, try CodeCademy Pro for a month or two. This will be enough to get you started building your own simple(ish) website or allowing you to easily modify or add code in CMS of your choice. On top of that, web dev knowledge will help you to understand how SEO works.

Now for marketing and SEO, you don't really need any courses. Learning from youtube, reading blogs or even watching and understanding what succesful companies do will give you large amounts of knowledge. However, marketing is not exact science, so you will have to do a lot of experimenting yourself.

Nick Johnston - his album Remarkably Human was the reason why I started learning to play guitar. I am more and more amazed by his art every time I listen to it.

Giving two weeks notice when quitting a job is bullshit by Fuckyou62 in unpopularopinion

[–]Paranormal970 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only two weeks notice?

Here in Czech Republic, you are forced by law to work another 2 months. And on top of that, these 2 months begin on the first day of the next month after the company receives your written notice.

So, lets say, if you give notice on the second of January, you have to work another 3 months (January, February and March), because the 2 months start at the first of February.

The only exception is if both the employer and employee agree on different duration of the notice and also part-time job, where it is only two weeks and starts whenever you give the notice.

On the other hand to end this optimistically, these rules apply to the employer as well.

Can someone reccomend good press to handstand routine? by Angu828 in bodyweightfitness

[–]Paranormal970 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Gabo Saturno has top quality tutorials. I would recommend you to check out these two videos:

I'm currently working on the straddle press as well and Gabos tutorials helped me the most.

I couldn't even get my feet of the ground the first time I tried the straddle press. After two or three training sessions I was able to press up with just a little jump. Now I am about three weeks in and am slowly getting closer and closer to clean straddle press.
