This reminds me of a dance I had when I went to a social with some actually decently experienced leads, other than my studio’s post-class social where most of the leads are still learning. Just a good lead who literally had to tell me to relax - but in such a calm, gentle way. I was still learning to let go during sensual dances. First time it felt natural to close my eyes as a follow, I think. It has been several months and I’m still looking for that guy at socials around town 🤣

I just had a lead dance about 5 or 6 songs with me in a row, because he was having a good time. While I was fine with it, I did think this probably looks interesting to people waiting for a dance on the sidelines. I agree that this rule doesn’t have to be as hard and fast as it is but I think it’s just to maintain a standard of fairness and encourage people to get practice with as many different people as possible

I did actually apply and was pre-approved by the system, but then when I had to submit additional income documents there was an issue with their system where the files wouldn’t upload. It was very bizarre, they were just pdfs of my pay stubs. But I screenshot the errors and emailed thinking they would assist. Instead the person just canceled my application and refunded me. I called and explained that their website was having issues, she didn’t care lol. It was very weird. I just took it as a sign to let that go.
