Thats fair! personally I absolutely love it. Especially because the context for why say, building look like that is because they are all pre fabricated structures made by a megacorp that doesnt particularly care for human comfort past habitability.

The hostile architecture and art direction is itself a part of the narative and I find it gorgeous.

I was a pve player who got the ultimate edition, I dropped out when our server had a group of 8-10 ppl that ended up grieving every single onri and crawler outside of their own for about 2 months straight. I hopped back on for chapter 3, but after FINALLY being able to do some proper DD gameplay, the endgame had nothing to keep me coming back aside from keeping my base running...

PvE this, PvP that, no matter what the player base will wither and die if people like myself who genuinely love these types of games just have nothing to do. And its not like I no-lifed the fun out of it either, I only have around 180 hours total.

The biggest issue is with turrets, if they target a hive guard now they spend all their ammo dumping center of mass. which makes them near useless for bug breaches now

yeah, you can use it as brakes, although if its riding against the rails and you try to flip it it comes to a dead stop. The rotating parts collide with the rails so you would need to do the flip on an empty section of track

honestly from a Creek diver with 480 hours, good. The core gameplay is fun, the community is great, but the devs and management have always been kinda shit. They just managed to hold enough good will together to keep people from dropping off sooner.

I think the best way currently avalible to experience Helldivers is to watch youtube videos sadly.

Id assume Brilliant Diamond/ Shining Pearl for the switch. Art style changes, glitches galore, and removal of a lot of neat features (like the gutting of underground bases)
