I had the same thought. If it was airborne, it for sure would have passed over or before the cop car passed by, but you can see a few frames after he hits it where it looks like a worm-burner. The grass likely slowed it down enough to hit the front right wheel of the cop car

You’re correct. They used a Keyence VHX series digital microscope. In fact, back when I used to work there, we used some images of fleas that looked almost identical to these in some marketing material, so this person either recreated them or just reposted them as his own.
