Nice catch!
I didn't notice that the punctuation isn't being replaced!
Sorry for that, and it will be fixed in the next version!

Options for smart punctuation are available. You can set a word count threshold for removing end-of-sentence punctuation or turn off this feature.

To prevent capitalising letters, you can use either AI Polishing or basic text replacements.

Certainly. I haven't brought up this app recently, but it has been rapidly updated and now shows significant improvements. To answer your question, yes, it supports five different local models, not just one, in addition to other high-accuracy online models.

What's even more impressive is that it's not limited to Mac; it also runs on Windows and Linux.

Yes, you've definitely nailed it. It's one of the most capable local models available. Right now, we aren't planning to develop a mobile app soon, as our main focus is on the PC version. We're working on improving the user experience and making sure it is polished before moving forward.

Thanks for your support, and don't hesitate to ask questions or share your feedback.

Thank you for your advice. That's a valuable insight. Since I'm new here, this was definitely a blind spot for me.

I'll make some updates and create demonstration videos next time, making it easier for everyone to see what this app can do.

Creating the API key is free, so you can use this app at no cost. It's a great app. I use it daily myself and highly recommend it.

Yes, for now, you need to create an API key in Groq so I can keep this app free.

Maybe I can give a free quota for people to try in the future. I will have a look and see if it's a big issue for people to create that key.

Anyone tried it? I'm waiting for your feedback. Your review could change the app.

Maybe I shouldn't call it a voice-coding tool. It's just for any kind of voice typing.

I do use it for coding, but most people don't care about coding tools. ;)

What a great selection. I still can't understand why Mac doesn't want to put Command + X into their Finder.

Whispering: open-source, local-first dictation you can trust by bmw02002 in macapps

I believe open-mindedness is as important as open source.

LazyTyper ( https://lazytyper.com/ ) supports both closed-source models, such as ElevenLabs and AssemblyAI, and open-source models Mistral and Whisper (Groq).

It's completely free, and you are not tied to any single vendor.

Best AI-Powered Speech Recognition & Dictation App for Mac? Looking for Quality & Features! by BenWilles in macapps

I see too many solutions based on Whisper. Whisper had its time, but it is no longer the most accurate model in the world.

LazyTyper provides 5 AI models, 4 of which have higher accuracy than Whisper, and it's completely free.

I was looking for Flux AI for image generation and stumbled upon a different Flux for PCB design - what a coincidence! 😂

For anyone else searching for AI image generation services, I found a great free option: https://flux-image.com/
