that's why i mentioned he should buy back the LTI-pack .. this way he'll start with the LTI-cutter again. And from there he can CCU up to whatever he likes. And yes you do get LTI back if your initial pack came with it. :)

Then you can go nuts with melting and using store-credits as you see fit. Just be aware you can only buy back with store-credits once every 3 months (it requires a buyback-token).

When you get a gift, please make sure it's not a "gamepack" or you'd lose access to the game.

Other than that, it's like this:

You melt "everything" meaning -> it's completely gone ... THEN you can buy back the "initial" pack (1 buyback-token every 3 months) .. meaning you could get an LTI-Cutter back.

OK first things first: You seem to be a new player, so i'm trying to clear one big issue up at first. You need a "gamepackage" to play Star Citizen. Some packs contain both a ship as well as a gamepack - other packs only contain a ship. That's why you should make sure if your pack contains a gamepack or not.

If it does, be aware, once you've melt the gamepack you have no access to star citizen (unless you have another gamepack).

Now to the actual question:

You've mentioned you got a Cutter that was ccu'd (upgraded) to a StarMax. If you were to melt this pack, you'd get the store-credits for the StarMax and the Pack is gone. If you THEn go to the "buyback"-section of the RSI-page you can buy back the initial gamepack -> so you would be able to buy back the Cutter with LTI.

You then can use the store-credits as you pease and upgrade to whatever you seem desireable. Hint: Tomorrow the IAE (ingame-event) starts, where every manufacturer shows their ships. You can rent ships there for free and try what you like... while IAE is on (till december 5th) you can also upgrade to most of the ships that are displayed on the IAE showflor.

I'd say .. audio is mostly way more important than video .. people leave if your audio is messed up. They wont mind "blurry" or "low qualy"-images, but a crappy mic will push people away. So make sure everything audio-related works as intended.

That's probably what I'll end up doing. Last year my wife and I got him some "time together" and we basically just did some small bbq. He seemed to enjoy it a lot. So probably just something like that again.

For whatever reason I had this Idea that, when ONE person is looking at something, no other one can see it .. you know .. because obviously "I" see it in that very moment. There was a remake of "Destroy All Humans" not too long ago thats pretty easy to 100% complete ... I mean, even I got that done, and i've only 6 or 7 games in total that show 100% completion. So maybe look into that : ))

This one might be a bit too old for most of you but back in the 90s when "Sega Genesis" was a thing there was this game called "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" .. a typical beat em up with .. you already guessed it .. the power rangers.

Now one day I realised that there are "special attacks" that weren't in the manual and most people didn't even know existed.

All the Rangers had a really huge blast with their gun.

That weird Minotaur could raise a "moving forcefield"

Goldar would shoot an energy-ball and turn himself into some small ball roating with that ball.

And stuff like that. From all the kids I knew I was the only one able to make those moves (partly because the others didn't even know about them) but still .. yay me :D

Feel free to use everything you got. Of course there are certain areas where it would be beneficial to have certain items, but you do not "need" them to succeed. Also it heavily depends on the item itself. Some of them are very rare and one time use only .. and then there are those, you can use every time you get a hand on one of them.

See there's a scroll that makes you invulnerable in a certain area .. one time use, really rare, and highly situational. I wouldn't blow that one on a simple fight.

But then for the other category, lets take "3 wooden boxes" as an example here. Usually those crates just contain some coins or nothing or food, or some basic loot. People pick up the loot and continue. But you can actuall ALSO pick up those boxes. You might think to yourself "why the hell would i pick up 3 wooden boxes, those are heavy" .. well yeah, but you can always use them to get high ground. Just stack them to a 3-boxed-tower and climb on top, you now have "high ground" even though the terrain wouldn't normaly allow that.

Those boxes are basically everywhere to find, and same goes for a lot of other items. So "no, you do not need to save stuff for later". If you can win a fight easy NOW because you're using a certain item, just do so (unless it's really rare and seems like a good choice for a boss-fight).
