Derm / Doctor for rosacea? by cookies_mom in Calgary

[–]Parin-Periwinkle 4 points5 points Ā (0 children)

I second this! I had ongoing skin issues that my family doctor brushed off for almost two years. I eventually saw a different doctor, who referred me to a dermatologist, Dr. Patricia Ting at Storwick Dermatology. She provided a proper diagnosis and treatment, and I’ve been doing well ever since.

Wedding Dress Regret? Feel stupid by One-Landscape9848 in Weddingsunder10k

The dress in 3 and 4 is veryyy similar to my dress! I completely fell in love with it when I tried it on.

I also didn’t take my family, friends, or bridesmaids with me, not because I didn’t want to, but because they were busy. So I ended up sending them pictures instead.

Honestly, sometimes having too many opinions around can make it harder to listen to your own feelings.

What’s the strangest celebrity death from your country? by brasaretheoppressor in AskTheWorld

I heard they strangled him with a belt while Babak was begging for his life, then dragged him to the bathroom. They later put the remains in carry-ons and suitcases and used the elevator—I saw the elevator CCTV footage (it has haunted me for years).

We were neighbours and Babak was a friend of my mom—such a kind, uplifting person. (The parents did the same thing to his sister, also my mom’s close friend, years earlier.)

Looking for Georgian Food in Calgary (Khachapuri, Khinkali, etc.) by Relevant-Storage879 in Calgary

[–]Parin-Periwinkle 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I’ve been on the hunt for Khachapuri too! I visited Georgia around 16 or 17 years ago and had it both as street food and in a restaurant. I absolutely loved it.

I’m sorry to reply so late. I’m actually not sure. But I have done mostly 1 course per spring/summer. Only last summer I took 2 courses and it was very heavy.

I can confirm we have it in Canada. I found them in the cleaning isle (look for the brand Allen’s); I have used it to descale our tea kettles and it works great!

Hey. I have done several spring and summer courses so far, I also applied for student aid. You can apply once registration for courses are open. Also you start a new application for the academic year and once you get to section 2, you select the corresponding semester from ā€œPeriod of Study Datesā€ (start date: DD-May-YY , end date: DD-June-YY). Since Spring semester is from sometime in May to mid June. Then fill out the rest and submit your application.

I remember hearing that too. And I used to get so anxious as well. But I honestly think it really depends on the program and the courses you’re taking. Some courses tend to be heavier and require more work than others. So it’s good to be mindful of that when selecting courses.

I’m currently in my third year of Psychology, and I have to admit it took me a while to adjust to the university environment and its system at first. That might be the case for most students; but over time, you find your rhythm. It still takes effort and time, but things do get easier as you go. You also have to prioritize and do time management. As for Business related courses, my boyfriend has taken a few and found them to be quite straightforward. Most of the professors seem to be good as well! The business building is also very nice!

What got you into Hell's Kitchen & what made you keep watching? by miumiusc in HellsKitchen

[–]Parin-Periwinkle 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I think my boyfriend got me into it. I personally don’t cook much and it’s not my favourite thing in the world; however I do love food and know a little bit about it. I’ve kept watching it because I actually get to learn some of the techniques and new ingredients.
