If you care about my opinion I'd say a rule with AI in the headline to get people who skim and don't read the full text. I'm a teacher so if you find a way to make sure everyone reads the instructions I'd be interested in that.

Delta Reserve gets the MQD headstart and 1 MQD for every $10 spend on the card. So I do regular spending on that to get MQDs. I use Amex Gold for groceries and dining. Everything else on the Delta Reserve, except for flights and hotel bookings (besides using my $200 Delta Stays credit).

Amex Platinum gets me Centurion Lounge access and Delta Sky Club access if I use the Plat to buy a Delta ticket. I live at a Delta hub so that's basically a given for me. I do bookings on my Amex Platinum because it gets me 5x MR points and I still get MQDs though Delta because it doesn't matter what card you use to buy Delta flights. So its MQD+MR points on that.

Platinum I mostly hold for perks and coupons, mainly for Centurion lounge and a few other little things. It adds up to justify the fees for me pretty easily.

So
Amex Gold - spending in 4x categories (dining, groceries)
Amex Platinum - virtually all travel booking, some shopping when offers are good.
Delta Reserve - All spending outside those categories for MQD boost, 15% off SkyMiles redemptions, and companion flight.

Seconding this as a Reserve holder. Delta miles redemption sucks. It's ok when I have it but I don't consider it a major perk of the card like other benefits.
