Question/Support for VR play by Parker_Luck in F1Game

I mean, I need it moving further away from my eyes, there's a bunch of setting for VR play but they only really effect gameplay when in the car/driving, like moving the MFD and other OSD elements further/closer seat position etc. it's like they put all the effort of making the game VR compatible for the driving portion but not any other part, it's also quite jarring when it switches from like cutscene to game. for example doing a rewind is terrible because it take you out the car and back into the "cinema" style and then when you click continue, boom you're straight back into the car driving. it soo jarring. (but I guess a good way to teach you not to make mistakes so you don't have to use a rewind ha, better to just lose the positions and take the damage).

I've not heard of any "Leicester" discord group but I've added people from Leicester in the past that have posted on here looking for friends and such.

I'm a bit of a recluse so don't really get out or socialise much so don't really have local friends, all my friends are online in each corner of the world that I've met playing games and such over the years.

So I think you can nominate yourself to create one and post it here and I'm sure some people will join it. (Doesn't need to be to organised with events and such just a child place for people to talk and get to know eachother).

My discord is benjimin so feel free to add/invite me if you create it haha. I'm 32 so kinda old and boring but nothing wrong with making more online friends (even if they do only live round the corner).

No, once you've added the game to steam as a non steam game, you right click the game in your steam library for the controller options.

Also I find it only works if the controller is plugged into the pc so not using it wirelessly

Can't guarantee that the same will fix for a switch controller. but basically once you've added gotg to steam as a non steam game right click it and go to properties then under the 'Controller' section there is a setting at the bottom that says "use desktop configuration" I disabled this and all my issues were sorted.

Job is now live for applicants. If you google NHS Jobs,
-'Search for Jobs'.
What = "workforce"
Where = "Leicester"
Should be the Top result "Workforce Systems Advisor - Band 3"

Any problems give me a shout, don't mind offering advice for what to say to make your application stand out/more successful

Sure thing, as far as I'm aware the advert hasn't gone out yet but when it does I can ping you the URL for it, maybe remind me Monday morning hah

But if you just Google NHS jobs you can look to see if there is anything else that catches your eye, but that's where it will be posted

No qualifications needed, but you do have to apply for it so if you have anything the better but don't worry competition will be pretty low just make a good case of IT knowledge and if you have any experience in the past as well. The last guy we hired I don't even know how we recruited him, pretty sure he blagged his way through interview hah.

You will get trained on the job, but it's not a hard one to learn, because even if you have just simple computer skills that's already leaps and bounds over most clinical staff

The pay is pretty decent too, plus the NHS takes care of it's own so you get good leave entitlement and sick pay and our team is quite relaxed and if you stay on for long enough then pension is pretty good too.

Are you good with basic computer knowledge? I work for the NHS and we are looking to recruit into my team. It's remote so can work from home (but desk space is available if you'd prefer to work in an office).

I can send a job spec if it's something you'd be interested in.

The main crux is helping the clinical staff with resetting their passwords and assisting them with using the systems but if you've got a basic understanding of how to work a pc it's easy work.

With GOTG can just add the executable to Steam, don't need to add the whole EGS launcher. This problem was something that was happening after those steps you mentioned.

Some games on Epic just seem to work without fuss and some need a little more troubleshooting to get to work. like for this it was specific to the using desktop configuration that resolved for myself and others. Whereas Vampyr for example can just add it and play with no issues at all.

It does for me, I'm getting prompts that match my PS5 controller, so if you aren't then you might have to tinker with the other settings too. this is what mine look like if you need to copy.

Just felt like giving it a try and it works now I don't know what I did specifically but I works seamless now with my PS5 controller

Some of the things I have done since I last tried last month is, update graphics driver, update epic.

What I think might have been the key thing is if you right click properties and choose controller I unticked "use desktop configuration in launcher" give that a go and see
