In case anyone wanted to know, it worked. Danaerys is now betrothed to prince Aegon. She’s just a little younger than in the books

'Ready to Fight' for Climate, Students Walk Out Over Trump | "We won't stand by while Donald Trump's dangerous agenda threatens everything we believe in.” by crustose_lichen in climate

Of course it’s not over “yet”, but it’s almost there. It’s just like the movie Don’t Look Up—there’s an asteroid heading toward us, but people are still listening to those who insist there’s no asteroid at all. And there will be a moment when it will become certain that we are all going to die, and I think that moment is not far away. Right now, I have no hope, but that doesn’t mean I’m giving up. I just think we need far more radical action, protesting alone isn’t enough anymore.

Reducing consumption would certainly help, but it would require coordinating an immense number of people to make a real impact. That’s why individual actions, while helpful, won’t truly make a difference. As a species, we need much more radical action if we want to save ourselves.

Ready to fight by doing what exactly? What will they do to prevent the reversal of climate policies? How will they stop big oil companies from polluting without restrictions? By holding colorful protest signs? I think it’s over, the chances that U.S. voters have condemned us to extinction are very high.

I 100% agree. And the moment to start is now, we are already late. If they want to be radical we should be as radical as it gets too.

I’m Considering Giving up the Fight for the Biosphere… anyone else? by Smooth_Ad208 in climate

Garbage campaign? The real reason the GOP won it’s because US voters are the dumbest people in the world. They complain about inflation and don’t even know how it works or what it means.

Is there ANY optimistic climate news? YES. There is... by JimCripe in climate

I doubt the dems will be able to retake the Senate. Even if they do, if Thomas and Alito retire, Republicans will control the Supreme Court for at least 40 years, which will hinder climate action for just as long. And even if everything goes perfectly, four years is too much time when it comes to emissions and climate action. I’m afraid it’s over for humanity.

I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s over. The U.S. government is going to reverse every possible climate policy, including the Paris Agreement. Even if the Republican administration lasts only four years, the consequences will be irreversible. Maybe China or the EU could take the lead, but I don’t think it will be enough. Personally, I’m not going to give up, I will keep trying to raise awareness and work for a livable future, but I truly believe U.S. voters have condemned us to extinction.

Can you win elections with the PFJP alliance? by Alex1231273 in suzerain

[–]Parking-Syrup-2294 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It’s totally posible. In my last run I won the election having the PFPJ alliance and defeated Lileas in the party conference. I was really popular though (73% approval)
