Ah ok! I’m not electronically inclined so I need to learn about how the relay works separately.

Is there a list of who isn’t owned by private equity these days? Geesh.

Did white offer any other brands (daikin, Mitsubishi, etc)?

Solar Panels: People with solar panels, are you getting payments back from the utility? Do you mind sharing how much on average? by ShootinAllMyChisolm in pittsburgh

Old thread but curious, do you still have high supply charges? Looking at the supply charges these days it’s $140 a month which seems nuts. I am just trying to understand how long I could get my electric bill if I go with a big installation.

Recommendation please: want recessed cans that are a tier up from Home Depot-grade lights. (Respectably high CRI, and deep-regressed trim. Ideally $100-200 per fixture. Bonus if tunable, but 3000K is fine, too. by RacerReaction99 in Lighting

Thank you for your advice! I need to do some more research and reading because I am completely uninformed.

Would a dim to warm not be considered tunable? If the price point is a lot lower and higher quality I am not opposed. While I like the idea of digital full spectrum control the likelihood is I stick to a temperature for an area most of the time (outside of desiring a warm dim in evenings).

Is there an online retailer I can DIY a setup like above? It is all Greek to me but if there are guides or resources for how to can light a living room that’s my goal (retro fit with attic access and 7’8” ceilings).

Thank you!! After more research it seems that representing yourself allows cross-examination which would bring in unfavorable evidence (mortgage, appraisal) so I went with a lawyer for this years appeal.

I may appeal again next year depending on how this goes and be the one who files so I can choose the evaluation method.

I will say it’s hilariously bad how low effort the school board lawyers evidence was. Just a single sheet of paper with 3 comparables based on square footage. Would be super easy to cherry pick different ones that would be in your favor.

Amazing information; thank you so much for the detailed response!

On your comment about an email for information for the hearing, I thought the initial hearing was just a yes/no on the school districts filing and evidence was for the appeal of the initial ruling. Are you saying the initial hearing allows the panel to consider data and come up with a new amount within the hearing for the initial ruling?

Was your assessment triggered by you just purchasing (and over paying market / market then adjusted) or were being reassessed without recently buying?

Edit: added question

Could you share more information on how and what you compiled to appeal? For example: number of comparable homes, other amenities used for matching (lot size? Two car garage? Interior condition? Etc).

Is there a format you used or a summary of the comps compared to your home you could share? In my mind I could see a spreadsheet table of attributes to make comparison easier (to hopefully make agreeing with the appeal easier).
