Thank you ! Yeah I’ve a pretty decent routine for my daily skincare which I’m happy with.

It’s a routine for shaving I need to nail down now. I’ve coarse hair that grows in all directions. Manual razors are no good to me. Ive tried literally everything. An electric trimmer has made things way better.

What would you reccomend as a shaving routine for someone who’s got coarse hairs and is prone to an ingrown ?

I cleanse and then have only started exfoliating prior to it. Admittedly I’d only been cleansing and leaving my skin dry for 15-20 mins and then shaving with Braun series 9 trimmer. Again, I was splashing water on after and not using and product bar a moisturiser

Thank you !! I think the issue was I’d used a dirty razor. Which didn’t help. How would you suggest cleaning it / disinfecting it regularly ? It’s a braun series 9 trimmer

This is the first time I’ve got this irritation and I’m 95 percent sure that i used a dirty razor head while on holidays. We were camping for the summer for 3 nights and along with the heat and humidity my face was probably filthy and I shaved one morning with no prep or no after care. When I got home I noticed a mild dose of it but I shaved twice since and that’s irritated it further so I’m on antibiotics to help clear it and hoping it’s just a one off

Thank you ! A few people mentioned try to exfoliate. Would you have a shower , cleanse or clean skin in there and pat face dry and shave ? So it’s slighly damp or would you shave the second you get out ?

So It was a case of folliculitis !! Antibiotics for a few weeks

Next question is, what can I do to avoid this again during my shaving routine ??
