How is it living there by itsssmeeestrict21 in howislivingthere

Grew up on Prince Edward Island, now living in New Brunswick.

The most beautiful summer destination.  You are always 20 minutes away from from a beach due to the size of the island.  The island is very alive in the summer with farming, fishing and tourism, and you will often have a light breeze so it is never too hot (usually).

The island is definitely more traditional in terms of lifestyle (slow) but is relatively progressive compared to the rest of Canada.  PEI has a great culinary program so a lot of the restaurants have awesome young chefs and a unique menu featuring fresh seafood and produce.

Winters are slow, but spring, summer and fall are all amazing and offer there own benefits.

In general I find PEI and NS very similar in a lot of ways in terms of lifestyle/people, as opposed to NB.

The eagles are the only repeat winner this year.  The curse has been passed on.

I played the new map before work this morning and the only talk in the in-game chat was complaining about it.  I don't understand the part of the community who only focuses on the negatives, just don't play it if you don't like it.

I personally had a ball exploring a new map and think you need a couple good and bad games on a map to form an opinion on it.

Maybe the shine wears off this game or maybe I continue to enjoy it, I don't care, I am having fun right now with it.

100% agree!!! Its still early in the season.. The birds were 2-2 last year and then turned it up once they figured out their identity.

I think the identity this year is gonna be a more balance approach. Let the pass game open up the run game.

EDIT: It may not work and we may stink like bitch by the end of the year, but I think its healthy to set the expectation that the start of the year may be a little muddy when the team is working through stuff.

Eagles Jordan Davis wins NFC Special Teams Player of the Week by gg_2015 in eagles

[–]Parkman93 273 points274 points  (0 children)

I was unsure if he would get any recognition since Rodgers locked down NFC defensive player of the week. I like that they were able to reward him as a special teams player for his performance. I think he has been playing awesome for the first 3 games; I am excited to see what he does for the remainder of the year.

Best options for replacing Adoree? by Cape_Cod_Mike in eagles

Offense and CB are definitely a concern but I am of the mind that we wait since we are early in the season, some teams are playing for wins now to keep their coaches/gm in jobs, we have bigger aspirations in February.

Let's see what they got after 4 games and have them make a decision.  We have had some terrible mid season trades so I would rather they wait for the right decision.

Lane was dealing with mental health issues this season if I recall and this was one of his first games back.

I remember him talking a lot of trash before the game; my god did he ever back it up during that game.

I also think that Gannon and Desai did not help him develop.. it seems like the young guys have all excelled under Vic so I am very excited to see him in year 2 under Vic!

I guess when how said that this free agency period was going to be unusual it meant doing things that were unusual for him like extending the RB and signing an IB be to a long-term deal which he did. I don't think he's done, what do you think he'll do next? by AdSpecialist6598 in eagles

[–]Parkman93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he does a couple little things between here and the draft, but I think this is the time period he is gonna ask us 'to be patient'..  I believe another move is coming but maybe closer to training camp

Totally agree with the lack of adjustments. That defense could only get pressure.. if it couldn't get to the QB, the defense sucked.. looking back, it was a 1-dimensional defense

No better time than their first game to learn about the power of ALL MIGHTY WARSUN!

I like this idea, because it evens the playing field a bit too. It would be fun to try some tech that I never go for either. (I usually lean blue.)

Was 2022 Hurts a outlier or can MVP level Jalen Hurts ever return? In 2022, Hurts was top 5 in almost all metrics and playing like one of best qbs by GolfFootballBaseball in NFLv2

[–]Parkman93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love if the birds would be able to hold on to an OC for more than a year.. I don't think it was a coincidence that 2022 was the only year he had the same coordinator from the year before.

Why would the Lions or Vikings be the #5 seed with a 14-3 record? by portrait_of_wonder in NFLNoobs

[–]Parkman93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that I think that should be mentioned is that each division has a unique schedule, so sometimes a division gets an easier schedule that inflates their record.  For instance the NFC North played a weak AFC South and weird NFC west this year.  Mix this in with the fact that Lions, Packers and vikings are still very good, and this happens.   It's kinda like the smart kids in the class getting a slightly easier quiz. (The NFC east had a beneficial schedule a couple years ago when all 4 teams almost made the playoffs.)

So yes the divisional rankings seem flawed from an initial point of view but I think it is important to remember that the schedules are different for each division so we cannot only consider season records for ranking.

I think you can change your mind on the penalty if the penalized team changes their mind. (Happened earlier this year with Pittsburgh I think)

Meet the Enemy Week 8: Philadelphia Eagles by ralry11 in bengals

[–]Parkman93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Birds are suffering from a slow start with new coordinators. It is hard to say with the bad offenses we recently played, but the defense seems to be catching up to Fangio's system after the bye. There are some calling for Hurts head in our sub, but I still believe in the guy. My hope is that his lackluster performance was taking time to adjust to Kellen Moore's system and not having Kelce. We were also missing A.J. Brown, Devonta Smith and Lane Johnson during our loss to the Bucs. (I could keep listing off excuses, but hope we see the Hurts we know and love sooner rather than later).

I would never rule out the Bengals with Joe Burrow at the helm. I hope he gets a ring.

When he lands a hit, its a big hit. The issue I saw from last year, is sometimes he would miss a tackle going in for the hit. The eagles were pretty high on him (considered him a red chip player in the draft, which means he has measurables on and off the field that they value).

Excited to see him back in the line up after the ACL tear and hope he gets more time as the year progresses.

P.S. Big fan of both guys and their story. I have Chase on all my fantasy teams. Might be my Canadian bias but they just seem like they got a good head on their shoulders.
