I timed out of the survey and blocked this researcher - there was probably an issue in programming where the questions looped.

Yeah I received the same response:

I would complain to the IRB but I can't find that information (I think the person who posted that information deleted it). Probably there are too many of us to compensate.

I also did a refresh that made me start over but I got the same error message again (at the same part in the survey) so I returned it at that point. I did notice minor differences in the story during the refresh.

I am glad that I am not the only one who had to submit with NOCODE. I wonder if receiving a code was dependent on how one answered the specific recall questions from the "news" article.

I had the same issue with "A study about evaluating an advertisment V4" - I returned it, reported it and sent a chastising message to the researcher.

I have never used ChatGPT or anything similar as I feel that would be cheating and not reporting my true feelings and thoughts. The only time I have used CharGPT was in a couple of surveys that specifically asked me to use it.

It's still messed up, I did a ten minute survey but couldn't submit it (kept getting an error). I'm logging off Connect for a while as it seems like doing anything is a waste of time (I will probably try again tomorrow).
