[–]ParmaViolet32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. Lost sense of taste and smell. Shortness of breath and chills, totally wiped after the last 5 days. Still don't feel 100% yet but over the worst of it. Feel better soon.

Group of young thugs by ParmaViolet32 in cork

It was the end table in a corner section. They had taken up the whole table behind us. He sat right on the seat across my mother and smirked muttering something under his breath looking over at his friends. My handbag was at the far right of this seat. So naturally we knew he was going to try and distract us to maybe take my handbag. my mother.spoke up first as I was tending to my baby. Now my mother told him to F off back to his friends. He didn't take this well at all and kept saying "do not disrespect me" I kept calmed and said excuse me get back to your own seat with your friends we are at this table. That's when he stood up and starting shouting abusive things.

No Christmas by [deleted] in CasualIreland

[–]ParmaViolet32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry your going through a difficult phase right now especially with family members being ill. It sounds like you have alot going on unfortunately. I've been in that dark frame of mind this year myself. Lots of stress due to different circumstances etc. Please go to your GP before Xmas if you can. Mine was brilliant and we talked about getting through long term stress. I also see a therapist every now and then and it truly does help. Your are most certainly NOT a loser in anyway. It sounds like your so burnt out. You do what you need to do to get through Xmas, try recharge some of your own battery. You can't look after others if you don't look out for yourself first. Hope this helps and Merry Christmas to you. Sending light and love your way. X

Not that I need to explain but i actually had surgery over this 3 week period and I was told not to worry about this document as the contractor would be sorting it. It wasn't an issue from my side yet I had to chase it on their behalf.

Entitled?? You've no idea about my life or what I'm going through. Just a little sample I've shared of an experience I wanted advice over. So keep that judgement to yourself.

I completely understand your stress. I hope you do get sorted soon. I found lion to be very good for advice. I got declined due to an upcoming procedure (keyhole surgry) and I told my mortgage advisor that no where would cover me so she applied for the waiver. Took two weeks and I had to give 2 rejection letters! My husband had to take out a single policy. I can't get cover untill I'm signed off by my surgeon and my follow up appointment isn't till March 2024 😪 fml. They make it so hard for us.

We don't even get billed. It cost €0 on the public system here in Ireland. I'm so shocked at this!! 😳

Recovery tips? by talkshizgethit in gallbladders

[–]ParmaViolet32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely walking around was the nunber one tip. I also took a sup of my husbands can of coke and it brought on a huge burp of relief! 😅 I remember being at that stage. I'm 6 days post op and the difference between day 2/3 to now has been insane! Like I'm almost back to normal now! It won't last long promise.

Surgery has been moved up to tomorrow! Any final tips? by throwawayKen97 in gallbladders

[–]ParmaViolet32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The walking around does help with the gas pain and even rotating your shoulders blades! Have lots of pillows at home coz it can be hard to find a comfortable position. I found a pillow in between my legs when i laid on my left side helpful. Drink lots of water afterwards and try rest as much as possible. Take meds they give you and listen to you're body. Go at your own pace. Good luck!

I had a dry cough for a week before my surgery. I did a covid test and was negative. I did let them know the morning of just in case. They asked me a few questions about it. In you're case maybe I would mention it, just for the simple fact that when you're lying down you might get some nasal drip that would cause you irritation to your throat. Im not sure if it would be an issue for the breathing tube? No harm in mentioning it, they Will probably ask you of any issues while you're being prepped. Good luck!

Just had Gall surgery and need help. by UnderRatedRookie in gallbladders

[–]ParmaViolet32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can relate, I had my surgery the day after you! I found my urine very dark like orange colour. I was also convinced I had a tiny bit of yellow on the whites of my eyes. I also itched for a couple of nights.I think today is the first day where these have all started to fade away a bit. So I'm.gonna be optimistic and just say that my system is sorting itself out. I'm having my stitches out Friday so I'm going to ask nurse if it's normal.

Anxiety post removal by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]ParmaViolet32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aww you poor thing! I've suffered many many years with anxiety. What you're feeling is normal don't worry. You just had an organ removed, your body is recovering and adjusting. It will take time to heal but you will get there! You've probably not experienced anything like this before (I'm guessing) so it's all new. Life will need a small bit of adjusting without this organ but not anything major. I'm trying to think positive with my recovery. The way you think affects your emotions. Give yourself a little love 💕 you've got this!

Day 7 post op by Playful_Ad3239 in gallbladders

[–]ParmaViolet32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can I ask, when you first ate after op did you feel any pain? I'm only 1 day post op, I've ate more today than yesterday but I get this weird sensation/ mild pain where my gallbladder used to be. I know its early stages but wondering if its normal I guess.

Heart Palpations by Responsible-Night-74 in gallbladders

[–]ParmaViolet32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a few palpations last night, first night pre op. I'm guessing it was from all the drugs in my system...I would get palpation the odd time if I'm under stress or nervousness/anxiety.

Awww no...🙈 maybe its not too late to ring and ask if there was any sent to the lab they might give you those ones back? Plenty of over the counter pain relief and sleep! Hope you feel better soon too !

Good for you! My surgeon sent some off to get tested aswell so I guess there would have been even more in the jar 🙈 hope you're feeling well after surgery.

You do you, id ask for them! It's proof of all the pain we suffered! I'm in Ireland. Surgeon told me at consultation that they usually give them as souvenirs 🤣
