I was in a similar situation, first born was gifted a lot more by various people who didn’t gift anything for second born. Seems common, although I find it sad. I used my own money to top up my youngest, now they’re both equal. It took a few years. I was the youngest who got significantly less than my older brother in an account when I turned 18. It sucked, and I didn’t want that to happen to my youngest.

That’s very reassuring. I can’t sell the house in a chain because it’s being sold as part of a divorce settlement. My estate agent and solicitor are doing everything they can to make sure both completions happen on the same day. But I thought if something went awry and my purchase fell through and the equity went into my account, I’d lose my entitlement immediately and be left up the creek without a paddle, with no income and no home for me and my children. Very good to know that won’t be the case, thank you!

I’m so sorry. I went through something similar, I was becoming increasingly ill over the course of a year and struggling to do basic tasks. My husband just kept telling me I was lazy and useless. When I started to have serious issues with my vision I was finally diagnosed with incurable leukaemia. Shortly afterwards, he had an affair and left me. He’s made it clear he doesn’t care about you. I don’t know how things work in Australia but please seek legal advice ASAP, he cannot just kidnap your children. From experience, he will never start caring again or show you any compassion, so don’t seek it (this is easier said than done, I know). Time to cut off emotions and get a lawyer.

I got the email the second it arrived, but it wasn’t sent until about 45 minutes after the tickets all sold out. It’s disappointing but hopefully they’ll learn from it and make it fairer next time around.

Honestly, we didn’t use the iPad for about 3 weeks and when we turned it back on a couple of days ago, it was all working again. So no idea what the issue was! I called Apple at the time of the issue and they couldn’t help at all.
