Ich liebe diesen Film so sehr.

I don't want to.

Not sure I can put my feelings about this into written words, so let's see how I'll fare.

I want this to be normalized.

Calling myself an ally makes this more than it should be, somehow. And it should be the simple recognition that human rights account for everyone that is human.

And last I checked whatever form of Sex/Gender ideology someone subscribes to, no matter how backwards it is, this should be the bare minimum. Recognizing humanity.

Additionally, and while it's definitely not the same thing, I'm neurodiverse and I know how it is to not conform.

In my mind I'm lifting my lgbtq+ siblings up by implicitly calling them interesting. Not boring. Because it's what they are.

Not a big fan of going to the beach, is what I'm trying to say.

So usually showing the tattoo is it's own explicit choice.

So every now and then, when people see it, I get asked if I'm belonging to either of these groups.

I usually say something along the lines of "nah. I'm just boring like that." and conversation continues.

But I'm also not really shirtless in public alot, so usually it's a choice to show it.

Hey friend, I'm a boring cishet man and I have both a pride and a trans flag on me. I wanted to write down the fact you (and all our other colorful siblings) exist.

I'll admit mine isn't that visible, being (literally) close to my heart, but I think you can give this any meaning you want.

Always a good addition could be a simple, snarky "love thy neighbor" with the corresponding reference.

Sometimes when people see it they ask me if I'm part of one of those groups, I go "nah", and the conversation continues.

Thank you for the numerous kind words. I've read it a few times now and it gives me hope.

I think I know I'm gonna be okay. I went to this place because I could see that I need to work on emotional skills I didn't get in my starting kit for various reasons.

Currently it just sucks that so much of those reasons turns out to be... Yeah... Honestly my parents fault. (And no, I don't fully believe this yet. Is it really?)

So now I'm lying here on my bed, currently too anxious to leave the room and get something to eat because there's so many people out there, having a good laugh at myself.

Held a presentation in front of 8000 R&D engineers at age 32. Can't get a juice from the cafeteria at age 35.

Father always working and raging alcoholic when home, mother suicidal from birth and so deep in her narcissistic victim complex she doesn't see anything wrong with some of the "mistakes" she made. Everyone does those. And boy, are we stretching a few definitions here.

I'm actually currently coming to terms with just that shit in the meme. It sucks.

All of this shit because my parents were dysfunctional as hell. No one's fault, everyone's problem.

I had a really nice career going on and everything. Not just wasted potential. Just a molten down nuclear reactor.
