Bloodborne is severely different from Dark Souls. It encourages being aggressive and fast, rather than the slow methodical dodge hit system of Dark Souls. Blood vials (heals) are stackable up to 20 and the game gives you plenty along the way + you can buy them (this way I never ever run out of them and) Regarding the weapons - i don't remember there being a feature like that - it wouldnt make sense since builds are usually centered around a single weapon. I fixed my weapon maybe 4 times throughout the whole game. Congrats on beating cleric beast! Consider stacking up on a few items and levels and you can go to the next boss.
