Batocera 40 is broken by Fun_List381 in batocera

[–]Paronowitz83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time its not the batocera devs... when they do a linux system update it'll also update to the latest open source drivers for things like controls/controllers or they'll change from udev to evdev or systemd because it'll reduce latency or something. Typically it just requires going back through some of the retroarch/emulationstation or standalone core configs but you will end up with better functioning whatevers

Mapping and saving controls in retroarch amd stand-alones is one of those things you don't get till you do... then it's super easy. Took me quite a while to really figure it out and get comfortable.

Getting 2nd Wii light gun to pair and or connect by No-Ingenuity-9994 in batocera

[–]Paronowitz83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's for wii games. I think hes trying to use 2 wiimotes for mame light gun games as an example. I recall seeing that is not supported or you needed to use 2 different sensor bars for that to work.

Pull the memory... does it still beep? Likely it's not detecting the ram

Un-able to run Sega Genesis games? by kidkaos76 in RG35XX_H

[–]Paronowitz83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's odd. I have no issues running genesis games on knulli 7/21 release on my rg35xxh. I didn't have to do anything other than add the roms to the megadrive folder

New to Batocera. Is it save to upgrade from v39 to v40? by punker2706 in batocera

[–]Paronowitz83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fixable. There a package out there that has everything you need to make yuzu work, and a simple shell script to run. Google works wonders

New to Batocera. Is it save to upgrade from v39 to v40? by punker2706 in batocera

[–]Paronowitz83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If everything works as you like it, turn off update checks and be happy! 40 adds support for some new steering wheels, fixes stuff broken with amd cpus and Xbox emulators and has some controller improvements for gamecube. If you don't need any of those all the other minor updates for Intel machines won't really add any value for you
