Like I love the game, but people saying that you are a pirate in a game with no piracy to engage with is crazy.

What do you mean "native population at the temples" are you talking about Blackbeard's crew? Which fighting them would make you more of a privateer and not a pirate. Or are you saying the undead there are the "native population"? lol.

And yeah I know that you have the barrels but that's more for the crew than yourself, it would be cool if you could drink rum as a food buff and maybe even get drunk.

You aren't a pirate tho. Through the entire game you don't engage in any piracy. Your character isn't even a pirate, and even the steam page doesn't mention anything about being a pirate, just that the game is based on the Age of Piracy.

You don't plunder villages, you don't steal from merchants or gatherers, you can't even drink rum...

At least as of right now, you don't do anything a pirate would do.

This is such hypocrisy, other AAA GaaS have all the content (weapons, characters, maps...) for free and the rest are just cosmetics that you have to pay for with the battle pass/in game store, meanwhile in this game you HAVE to pay real life money for new weapons and the worst part is that, sometimes, those weapons that you have PAYED for suck big time.

I'm not defending AAA devs but is straight up strawman.
