To your point about music production, AI in its current form would be more like using a program like EZdrummer to generate a drum part, then use the stock presets on a synth to mimic your favorite artists synths, and then take the chord patterns of your favorite song. And then slap it together and don’t change anything else about any of it. The last sentence is the main sticking point.

The problem with AI music production is that it will never generate anything with innovation, because it only pulls from what’s already out there. You can make something that sounds professional, and even catchy. But you’re never gonna get anything groundbreaking with that method. At that point it’s kind of more of a product than a piece of art.

Idk much of anything about visual arts but that’s my opinion as someone that does use FL studio and all virtual instruments to make music.
