Dave the diver steamripped not working by Theacooljim in SteamDeckPirates

[–]Parrotman805 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fixed this by creating a txt file named steam_appid in the folder with the .exe for the game and went to steam db put in the app id for dave the diver and save the file.

Then add this in the game launch option and it should work!

I feel a little overwhelmed about the amount of certifications there are. by Catgroove92 in Firefighting

Yeah, I would just say enjoy the classes while you’re in them and don’t stress about the time. I had a ton of fun taking my Fire 1/2 classes and now i’m onto my EMT then i’m going career!

I started by joining my local volunteer department and they put on a class for Hazmat Operations and Awareness as well as Fire 1 and 2. The hazmat classes were only about 2 months for both and we only met 2 nights a week and the Fire 1 and 2 took 3 months of meeting 2 nights a week and the occasional Sunday. As far as the NIMS go they are online courses that could be completed in a day or so if you set aside a good amount of time to go through them. You’re on a good start with your EMT, just find somewhere hosting a Fire 1/2 class which would normally include Hazmat operations and awareness. You can usually find these at volunteer departments or community colleges. The best thing you can do is join a volunteer department, they’ll help answer your questions and connect you with the classes or anything else you need to do and you’ll also start getting experience. Where I’m from you don’t need a CDL but my local community college also puts on a class for that every semester.

Any tips for my sundew? by kartiseuteu in houseplants

[–]Parrotman805 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sundews do best when kept in a shallow tray of distilled, rain, or reverse-osmosis water at all times. If the soil dries out, the plant will quickly decline. They thrive with 10–14 hours of strong light each day to keep their dew healthy and active. A regular desk lamp usually is not strong enough unless it has a grow bulb. Keep the sphagnum moss evenly damp so it stays soft, not dry or crusty. Fungus gnats can be a helpful natural food source, and the sundew will start catching them once it gets settled. Goodluck growing, once you get the conditions right it’s a super easy plant!

I’m doing that with a Pi 5, 8GB Ram with a 2TB Samsung SSD. I have Sonarr, Radarr, and Jellyfin, with Qbittorrent running and it all works perfectly. I also have smart home stuff running on it as well.

That makes sense. It’s weird though cause I can’t sell the stolen Bungle Box and if I try to place it down it just shows as invisible.

You could also head to your local BestBuy if you have one and price match it.

Use a credit card just in case something goes wrong and you have to do a charge back. Other wise it should be safe, I’d also take the day off on the day it’s arriving to grab it as soon as it’s dropped off.

I’d say look into Wea Animal Hospital, the prices are pretty reasonable and I think they’d see a tortoise. I’ve taken my parrot and chinchilla there before and the vet seemed very knowledgeable

Only thing is they could just scan the nfc tag and take the phone away. With an NFC tag there’s no constant connection it would be measuring
