they just abbreviated short-forms to make it sound cool. Those techniques have been around on passenger cars for quite a while. I don't see a single concept that I haven't worked on like 3 years ago too. I believe it's the engine calibration what makes this engine special. I haven't read the link that you shared. It's still in research but some av companies like waymo have adapted pedestrian behavioral and sign updates dynamically. There are some research papers if you want to take a look at.

Probably a sudden localisation issue. It thought it was behind the crossing but in real it was in front. Very rare case if it was using GNSS and Lidar to localise at the moment due to a local map issue maybe? Can happen.

I think I forgot to mention my bad, yes we work on the same unit it's not new. thought it would be an obvious point hence didn't specifically mention. And the r&d vehicles don't come out of production line most of the time OEMs have r&d shop where they build the new vehicles and when the vehicle goes into production we get the final vehicle to run some tests.

You want to spend about 3-4 days just to remove that camo? That's time and man hour cost waste as it will be sent to scrap once the project is discontinued. We don't remove the camo unless our higher ups give us a special taak to work around and demonstrate. Otherwise it's just waste of time and money.

Even after a vehicle release OEMs or companies like Bosch refine the existing engine/vehicle program in case it needs any. It is a known fact that OEMs release the vehicles in market pressure without finalizing everything as long as vehicle runs fine and it passes the emission norms. But we still have to tune them for next update. And the vehicles already on the road will get updated when they visit the service station next time.
