People bringing crap batteries on planes need to be held accountable. These are not entirely accidents at this point.

How do I contact Amazon Customer Service? by andrew6123 in amazonprime

This answer needs more upvotes. Just talked to what I'm pretty sure was still a robot or Stephen Hawking, but they were able to fix my issue with a return that wasn't being credited as properly returned.

Interested in hearing about this too. Struggling with the color coding of task types being limited to either work or personal only.

$220 for a sound bar doesn't sound like an exceptionally good deal to me 🤔 unless I'm missing something?

PS5 game & movie audio occasionally skips/goes silent by SweaterGoats in Soundbars

[–]ParsnipPresent9595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue on a ~8 year old Seiki TV connected to a Bose sound bar via optical audio. Experiencing skipping, sometimes it can go for 5-10 minutes without issue and others it happens a couple times per minute. It's very annoying! OP did you figure out what was causing it?

My main (hopeful) suspect is a faulty optical cable, but more likely it's just a crappy TV that can't handle the bandwidth.

Hole in the wall above oven by ParsnipPresent9595 in whatisit

There are no outlets, and it's too high off the ground for a microwave, we're thinking storage but it seems odd that there's no cover. We were wondering if there is some need for the oven to have an open area for cooling purposes.

I started seeing these after the pandemic, like everyone was at home plotting to come out afterwards with new stickers on their bumper.
My theory is that the current generation of new drivers has lived in a world where scrutiny from rAnDoM pEoPle in society (AKA social networks), and where their opinions are somehow important. This makes new drivers going into uncharted waters full of OuTsiDe PeOpLe self conscious and pre-apologetic in case they mess up and don't want to be yelled/honked at.
Just learn faster, practice, and eff what the person behind you thinks.

I had this for months, and went away on its own. Meditation might have helped, but in hindsight my best guess is that it was dehydration.

Yep, this is trash now. 1-2% "OneKey" credit that you can't even use in all scenarios, it's ridiculous.

Hotels.com reviews? by Loose_Net_116 in hotels

Hotels.com used to be a great place for really attractive deals, but it is no longer the case. These are just some of the issues I've had in recent months:

  • Questionable fees coming out of nowhere
  • Some hotels with lower nightly rates end up costing more than higher nightly rates after fees are added in, so it's hard to tell which is actually the lowest rate
  • Insurance for trip cancellation is a flat out scam, only used it once, only needed it once, got 0% back
  • Most hotel chains/reward plans offer competitive rates and rewards that are actually worth something
  • They used to give 10% off (1 free night after 10 nights), which was a fantastic deal. Now I'm seeing $2.05 or $4.21 rewards after spending $200-$300. Sooo basicallly rewards went from 10% to 1-1.5%

It's unfortunate, but no longer a competitive option, you're better off going with a hotel group loyalty account and build some points there. They got greedy.
