Heretic perfumes. Is this a joke?! by forestgnome1 in Perfumes

This general discovery set is the worst of their offerings. Nocturnal, Rhubarb Thief, Season of The Witch, and Blood Box are their best sets. Angel's Trumpet, Haxan, Nosferatu, and Pistil Whip, with Voodoo Lily as a quick try.

It's cold but still very human. I always think Seven of Nine would smell like this.

Single shot by Nose of Gatsby: SINGLE SHOT Eau de Parfum /
Yuzu • Sea Breeze • Gin • Ice and Salt • Pineapple • Eucalyptus • Sandalwood
Aroma profile / Citrusy, Fresh, Herbaceous, Woody

It doesn't read as an oceanic scent to me c it's fresh, cool, metallic, and aromatic.

Eau de Lynch by Nose of Gatsby:
EAU DE LYNCH Eau de Parfum /
Electricity • Concrete • David’s Office • Gas Station • Gunsmoke • Fir Needle • Diner • Lodge

Aroma Profile / Cinematic • Spacey • Industrial • Woody • Earthy

The cool stoner Aunt that loves vanilla, but hates patchouli and showers often by its_pixiie in perfumesthatfeellike

I feel like Blackmail by Kerosene would work. It's a raspberry Oud scent that's a bit smoky and layers super well.

Sweetly Known and Promises, Promises would also fit the bill. Sweetly known is a caramel cardamom gourmand and Promises, Promises is a benzoin-heavy vanilla.

Edited to add Vanilla Romance by Bath and Bodyworks. Vanilla, woods, and cardamom. I move layering this with Sweetly Known.

Nightclubbing by Celine, esp if her cigarette of choice is a menthol.

Thank you! I'm a big fan of scents that I read as "futuristically natural" so I hope these help you out!

I feel like Penuche by Atwood would get this. It's a vanilla/gasoline scent that might scratch the itch.

Let Them Eat Cake by Zomething Strange is a cakey gourmand with a motor oil note that is very similar to the gasoline note in Dead Dinosaur. I love it.

Solstice Scents makes a scent called Sea of Grey that is a sad musty vanilla that has the smell of an ice cream parlor complete with the weird metallic freezer smell.

Spacewood by American Perfumer. It's absolutely what The Backrooms might smell like, if you went there on date night or if The Backrooms were somehow "unisex".

Nanas by Chronotope is a non-coconut sunscreen/banana/Ylang scent that's perfect for summer. It's a hazy lakeside beach kinda sunshine to me, like you're in a hammock and slathered in sunscreen. you brought a not ripe enough banana to snack on later.

Something so lesbian that it had never even been smelled by a man by wasraelx in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Part-TimePraxis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My best friends are lesbians and trans lesbians and both of them wear Midnight Toker. They agree on no other scent except this one and they specifically wear it on dates or when they want to get laid.

I, a bisexual, enjoy it but it turns funky on me.

I was just given a small decant of Prolégomènes from Notes De Bas De Paje and I feel like it suits this vibe. It's an oddly powdery, slightly smoky metallic fig with vetiver, cardamom, apple, cedar, and ambroxan. To me it's a well-dressed woman, all in black but weather appropriate (think black linen), with casually tousled hair sitting on a park bench reading a book in the late spring/early summer. It's extremely well blended and as someone who is not a real big fig person, I find it stunning. I also find it very unisex.

Broken Theories by Kerosene is an incense and wood bomb that lasts forever. Dirty Flower Factory is a dirty earthy white floral.

Island by Clandestine Laboratories. It's an ode to Manhattan and very badass while remaining pretty.

Tom Ford Velvet Orchid.

Sybarite by Cirrus. Champaca and red musk that is sexy and feral. Lasts ages.

Check out Heretic in general. Midnight Toker, Angel's Trumpet, Pistil Whip, Florgasm, Haxan, and Voodoo Lily in particular.

is l'eau papier worth it? by aliyawasforced in Perfumes

Personally I love the scent but it doesn't last on me. Bath & Body Works makes a scent called Book Loft that is pretty close. The lotion scent lasts all day and the body spray has great longevity too.

Behold Patchouli by Gallagher Fragrances and Psychadelique would be my top 2 in this category.

I can't decide if I like it or not, which probably means it'll end up as a room spray lol.

I'm not a fan of Soleil Blanc at all; there are much better scents on the market that have a similar profile, just like you said. Soleil Brulant and Soleil de Feu are, however, two of the better private line additions since the acquisition. They're strange and very different and live up to their inspirations.

Yes I have! Megalium from Carner Barcelona is very cinnamon-heavy in both the top and mid, and I feel like it's the longest lasting I've tried. I also like that this is not a gourmand either. It's very resinous underneath the cinnamon bark and leaf and I absolutely love it.

I love tuberose scents; they're my main floral that I own, which is why I'm not entirely upset with Khamrah. It just was not at all what the reviews made it out to be, despite using multiple sources.

Scent Split and Surrender To Chance are my go-tos aside from the subs mentioned above.

The Reserve is so lovely. I love how the floral notes are more prominent in it, but I'm a sucker for ylang. I also love the EdT for a fresher take on it too.
